Overview
This tour enables you to go to the less explored area in Kenya and make a stop at the Samburu National Reserve. The area is also endowed with wildlife; commonly known as the Samburu special five (Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulate giraffe and Beisa oryx). It also has elephants as well as other big cats like the lion, leopard and cheetah for instance. Meru National Park has a jungle, rivers, swamps, khaki, and grasslands with the vegetation cover needed by wildlife.

Itinerary
After breakfast, you’ll be picked from the airport or your Nairobi hotel at 7:00 am in a private van as we cover the beautiful countryside on our way to Samburu National Reserve with a lunch stop at the Samburu Simba Lodge. After that, we move to the next activity that is an afternoon game drive. This is most accurate during the early morning hours of the day because the hunters are preparing to come out to hunt during the night. Your first game drive takes place in Samburu area where you will be able to see some special animals including the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, and leopard. Proceed back to your lodge and enjoy a delicious meal then laze around the camp fire and probably exchange stories of the day.

In the morning we wake up early for breakfast before we embark on an early morning game drive as the animals awake and become active. Head back to the Lodge for a lunch break and then have free time in the afternoon. In the evening you will start your game drive as continue to explore this reserve and continue to come across unique animals.

Wake up early for an early morning game drive and head back to the lodge for breakfast. After that, you will proceed to Meru National Park that was featured in the movie Born Free – the story of Elsa the lioness. She was born and hand reared in this area by George Adamson and Joy . African wildlife awaits you as you embark on your game drives in the park. Werret notice some of the other small inhabitants that dwell in the bush. Get to witness the amazing riverine forests, the flowing rivers and; opposite extreme, gigantic open savannahs with towering baobabs. However, Meru is still an unexplored area in Kenya. Experience the wilderness as this place has a more isolated location and extreme landscape.
