Overview
The park can be reached from Mombasa or Nairobi. Within the park, there are major rivers, which include the Athi, Tsavo, and the Galana River formed by the confluence of the two. It is believed to be a region that has one of the highest diversities of species and this is attributed to the numerous wild animals like the Big Five. It also hosts a number of water birds including the black kite, crowned crane, love birds and the sacred Ibis. Located close to the beach of Mombasa this offer you the opportunity to do both the beach and the bush safaris.

Itinerary
In the morning, arrange to depart from either Mombasa or Nairobi hotel to begin the trip. The trip will then proceed to go onwards from Mombasa North or Diani Beach and into Tsavo East National Park through Bachuma Gate. Go for a game drive in search of some of the animals such as elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, cheetahs, zebras, impalas, and monkeys among others. Lunch is arranged at Ashnil Aruba Lodge; here you check in before having lunch and some relaxation time. In the afternoon, go for the game drive until evening when the park is closed for the day. Your dinner and overnight at Aruba Ashnil Lodge are for your consideration.

Go for an early morning game viewing drive. Later, return to the lodge for late breakfast. Whom you will then leave for Amboseli accompanied by short game drives before checking in for lunch. We will arrive in Amboseli in the early afternoon and have lunch then go for a short game drive before checking in at Kibo Safari Tented Camp. In the evening, we can also include an evening game drive.
It is one of the oldest wildlife sanctuaries in Kenya and is a favorite haunt of tourists. The park is located on the border of Kenya & Tanzania at the foot of the Kilimanjaro Mountain, the highest in Africa with its snow capped peak being visible on clear weather. Amboseli National Park is famous as being The home of Elephants A feature of Amboseli are some of the largest elephant herds. It also holds big herds of zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, and antelopes among other. This and many other wild animals like lion, leopard, cheetah, rhino, and many more of the plain game can also be found in Amboseli beside thousands of meters of volcanic rocks from Mount Kilimanjaro.

Take early morning game drives after which you will be taken back for breakfast. If you leave Amboseli for Tsavo West National Park expect to arrive with game drives in transit. For an interesting trip go to Mzima Springs where visitors can watch hippos and fish in water that is as clear as glass. You may also sight crocodiles and monkeys. Then drive to Kilanguni Serena Safari Lodge, check in and rest. In the afternoon, you can go for Rhino Sanctuary before going back for a prospects dinner before spending the night at the Kilanguni Serena Safari Lodge.

This day with your driver guide after an early breakfast, spend your time visiting Tsavo West National Park. After that you will leave the park and proceed to the coastal beach hotel, or be safely taken back to Nairobi.

FAQs
The best time to visit Tsavo East, Amboseli, and Tsavo West National Parks is during the dry season of June to October and early and late in the year from January to February. It’s easier to spot them in these months as most of the animals tend to congregate around water sources and there is not much foliage. Amboseli is particularly beautiful during this time of the year especially if one is lucky to capture a glimpse of the nearby Mount Kilimanjaro. But if you want fewer tourists and lots of greenery, it’s also better to visit Tsavo East and Tsavo West in the low seasons of March through May and November through December although in these months, the roads may be muddy on occasions.
Tsavo East National Park is known for the “red elephants” elephants that have limed the color of the Tsavo red earth and lions, leopards, giraffes and other types of antelopes. Crocodiles and hippos frequent the Galana River offering unique excitement to tourists who visit the River for a glance of wild animals.
Amboseli National Park is famous for its elephant population and they take a beautiful picture in front of Mount Kilimanjaro. It also has lion, cheetah, buffalo, zebra and other wild animals;;% it also has bird types such as flamingoes in the seasonal lakes.
Tsavo West is slightly more rough with several beautiful landscapes and is the best place for Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary, and Mzima Springs which provides views of hippos and crocodiles. It also has leopards, cheetah, and a variety of bird species; this makes it one of the best places for mammal lovers.
Tsavo East, Amboseli, and Tsavo West national parks offer accommodation that ranges from luxury lodges, to mid range tented camps to campsites.
Option accommodation in Tsavo East include Ashnil Aruba Lodge, Satao Camp, and Voi Wildlife Lodge.
In Amboseli, there are many places where visitors can stay including Ol Tukai Lodge, Tortilis Camp, and Kibo Safari Camp all which offer great view of Mount Kilimanjaro.

There are a number of exciting activities seen on a 4 day Safari to Tsavo East, Amboseli National Park, Tsavo West National Park. Safari activities are perhaps the most attractive activities that visitors engage in since they stand a chance to view the “big five” and many other animals. Nature walks are still limited in some areas, particularly Tsavo West where tourists can tour the Shetani Lava Flows and Chyulu Hills.
At Mzima Springs in Tsavo West, you will be able to observe hippos and fish at the underwater viewing well. In Amboseli, guests will have the opportunity to photograph elephants against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Visiting the Maasai people and their villages in Amboseli offers an opportunity to learn their way of life. Avian watching is also well developed in all the three parks although more pronounced in Amboseli because of many small seasonal lakes where flamingoes are often seen.
Tsavo East, Amboseli, and Tsavo West National Parks can be reached by car or by an aerian mode of transport. The parks are also accessible by road being only 354km from Nairobi and 282km from Mombasa through tarmacked roads. Driving distance from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park is 4-5 hours, while the driving distance from Nairobi to Tsavo East or West is 5-6 hours.
For travelers accessing the park from Mombasa, Tsavo East and Tsavo West are about 3-4 hours drive away. Amboseli is slightly further away, taking between 6-7 hours on the road.
By air, several domestic flights from Wilson Airport Nairobi can be taken to airstrips within the park such as Amboseli Airstrip, Voi Airstrip in Tsavo East and Kilaguni Airstrip in Tsavo West. This option is also better for such possibilities and demands more time, but it is shorter and more comfortable for travelers.
While planning for a 4-Day Wildlife Safari to Tsavo East, Amboseli and Tsavo west national parks you should pack useful items to make the trip as comfortable and convenient as possible. Pack a hat and-sector clothing that are both lightweight and neutral coloured for the game drives and a jacket as it gets cold in the morning and evening. Good foot ware is essential as you may need to purchase a pair of boots for the hiking or the lava flows in Tsavo West.
Other needs are binoculars for observing animals, camera with spare batteries, sun cream, hat, shades, and insect repellents especially for mosquitoes. They also encouraged bringing a refillable water bottle to use within the trip. In case a person visits during the rainy season, then a lightweight umbrella or a raincoat may be necessary. Finally, do not forget personal belongings like medicine, shaver, documents which one may need on a trip.
