The Palace Downtown was the perfect hotel, ideally located within walking distance of the Dubai Mall and countless restaurants. Our balcony overlooked the Dubai Fountains and the Burj Khalifa—quite possibly the best view in the city. The concierge, valet, and breakfast staff were exceptional, the rooms were spotless and modern with subtle Arabian accents, and overall it was an outstanding stay.

Dubai was an incredibly luxurious, clean, and safe city, defined by its striking ultramodern architecture. In just three days we packed in an impressive amount of sightseeing—from the Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall, fountains, Burj Al Arab, Atlantis, Miracle Gardens, Gold Souk, and Dubai Marina, to an unforgettable desert safari with dune buggies and camels. We could easily have spent many more days exploring the city and its countless outstanding restaurants, and it was the perfect big-city complement to our honeymoon.
