Accommodation Visited

One & Only Cape Town
Our stay was incredibly comfortable and enjoyable. The view of Table Mountain from our room was absolutely breathtaking, and being able to walk to the V&A Waterfront was such a bonus. Every member of the staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Honestly, I wish we had stayed longer—if only to have more mornings indulging in that amazing, endless breakfast buffet.
Old Drift Lodge
The lodge’s location along the Zambezi River was just perfect—peaceful, scenic, and incredibly calming. I truly appreciated the sense of tranquility throughout our stay. Our guide, JB, was exceptional—knowledgeable, personable, and passionate. We learned so much from him during the game drives and had an unforgettable visit to Victoria Falls with his insights adding so much depth to the experience. The entire team at Old Drift was warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. One of the highlights was the Boma dinner—what an amazing evening! The staff were genuinely enthusiastic about sharing their traditions, food, and stories with us. I was so caught up in the experience that I didn’t take a single photo—something I actually love, because it meant I was completely present in the moment.
Londolozi Tree Camp
Londolozi was the final stop on our journey—and without a doubt, we saved the best for last. We had high expectations going in, knowing the reputation for luxury and world-class service, but what we experienced went far beyond anything we had imagined. Everything—the people, the atmosphere, the accommodations, the food, and of course, the game drives—was exceptional. Our ranger, Shad, and tracker, Bennet, brought such depth to each drive with their knowledge and passion for the bush. We didn’t want to miss a moment, so while some guests began skipping drives toward the end of their stay, we made sure to be on every single one. That’s what we came for, after all—and each outing felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. A special thanks to Shad, not only for his guidance on the drives but also for helping us enhance some of our favorite photos at the photo studio on site. It was a unique and thoughtful touch that really elevated the experience. The meals were another standout—not only delicious, but served with such warmth. Our butler, Maide, made every dining experience feel personal and welcoming. She was simply wonderful. If I could change anything, it would be the amount of daylight—we visited during the cooler season, so the sunrises were late and the sunsets came too quickly. Next time, I’d love to return in the summer to soak up more of those golden hours. Londolozi left a lasting mark on us, and I genuinely hope we’ll be back one day.
