Overview
Clients have the option of three birding areas within Gauteng Province: the north, the Reef, and the south. The Reef tour covers the Walter Sisulu Botanic Gardens, Delta Park, and several smaller nature reserves. Possible sightings include the rare and endangered Verreaux’s (Black) Eagle, along with a variety of raptors, waterbirds, garden species, as well as bush and grassland birds. Your guide, David, is a passionate birder rather than a professional ornithologist, so expectations should be realistic. The tour includes a packed lunch plus hotel pickup and drop-off.
