You will be taken on two game drives today, in the morning before breakfast and in the late afternoon. Early mornings and late afternoons are considered the best time to spot animals as they are most active. To get some of the best game viewing of the day, an early start is needed to beat the heat of the sun. This is the time that the big cats are most active and can provide some of the most dramatic photography, thanks to the beautiful lighting. Although it might be tempting to stay in bed and wait until the afternoon to explore. This is an experience that will surely create lifetime memories. If you are fortunate enough you will catch lions during one of their rare bouts of daytime activities. It’ll be fascinating to watch the social interaction between pride members especially the playful ways of lion cubs under the watchful eyes of their mothers. The reserve is famous for its wildebeest migration. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp.

In the southern area, there are a number of small, rocky, volcanic hills. Around the swamps Ol Tukai and Enkongo Narok, the vegetation is lush with yellow-barked acacias and phoenix palms. The park is known as the best place to view large herds of elephants up close. There is an immense view of Mount Kilimanjaro which is across the border of Kenya and Tanzania. It is also dominated by vast Lake Amboseli which is dry outside the rainy season. There are more than 600 species of birds in the park. You will spend your night at the lodge.
