3-Day Lake Naivasha Walking Safari and Lake Nakuru Tour

We’ll collect you from your Nairobi hotel at around 8:00 am and set off on a picturesque drive through the lush highlands, descending the dramatic escarpments of the Great Rift Valley. Along the way, you’ll pause at a scenic viewpoint to capture the breathtaking panorama before continuing towards Lake Naivasha, which lies about an hour and a half from the city.

On arrival, you’ll board a boat from the Crescent Island jetty, gliding across the waters where hippos wallow and pelicans, cormorants, and other birdlife thrive. As you sail, you’ll also spot colonial-era lakeside homes, farms, and charming lodges. The boat ride includes a stop at Crescent Island for a guided walking safari among giraffes, zebras, impalas, and waterbucks in their natural habitat.

Afterward, enjoy a delicious lunch at a lakeside hotel before heading out for an adventurous game drive in Hell’s Gate National Park. The day’s excitement continues with a refreshing dip at Olkaria Geothermal Spa—the largest natural spa in Africa—set within the park’s unique volcanic landscape.

As evening approaches, you’ll travel on to the serene shores of Lake Elementaita, where you’ll settle in for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, you’ll set out for Lake Nakuru, a haven of wildlife and breathtaking scenery. As you explore the park on a game drive, you’ll admire the shimmering waters of the lake, home to an abundance of birdlife—large flocks of pelicans and, at times, gatherings of flamingos painting the shoreline pink.

The park is also renowned as a Rhino Sanctuary, offering one of the best chances to spot both black and white rhinos, along with other resident wildlife.

Following your adventure, you’ll return to your lodge in Elementaita for a hearty lunch. The rest of the afternoon is yours to unwind—whether by swimming, taking a leisurely nature walk, or simply relaxing and soaking in the peaceful surroundings.
