Day 01 :

Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre and Volcanoes National Park Transfer

On the arrival depending on the time of your arrival our driver guide will pick you from the airport and may take you to the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre where 250 000 Tutsi tribe was killed in 1994. This memorial also informs people on how genocide against the Tutsi unfolded and analyses genocide in the 1900s. Is an emotional trip to make; pack a tissue because you are likely to cry. Following the memorial Centre visit, we shall proceed to Volcanoes National Park or if you arrive in the evening then we shall check into a hotel for the night. Then begin your tour the following day in the morning.

Day 02 :

Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

After breakfast, your driver guide will pick you up to the head quarters of the Volcanoes National park for briefing at around 7am. Here you are grouped into groups + The park allocates every group a gorilla family that they are to visit with a ranger guides who takes you to the jungle. Travellers will spend about 1-2 hours on foot until you get close to the habituated primates. When you meet them you are allowed 1 hour to observe them perform, eat, bathe, or do anything else they do which involves using the camera to take photos or videos. Next, you go back to where you started and you meet the driver guide who will take you to the next activity. The next show is a cultural dance performance based on the ex-gorilla poachers. You will be able to step into a place where a king once sat down on his throne and also see a traditional healer prepare his remedies. You will also get to view the pre-historic local milling stone and watch a wedding ceremony performed under a king’s rule.

Day 03 :

Golden Monkey Tracking, Twin Lakes and Kigali Tour.

In the morning after break fast, your driver will transfer you to volcanoes national park headquarters where the guide will brief you on the dos and don’ts while tracking the golden monkeys. When on this trip you will be accompanied by a guide who will take you to the golden monkeys.
