This 5 days/4 nights lodge safari to all Northern Circuit major parks departing from Zanzibar will be an exciting experience would love to share with your spouse, friends or even family. The features you will be visiting include the Great Serengeti, the Ngorongoro Crater, the Tarangire, and the Lake Manyara. In addition, this tour may be tailored according to your preference so that you may set your time to start and end your game drives. You will also make the decision on which national parks you will be interested in without having to organize it with other people you don’t know.

Itinerary
If you find yourself at a hotel within Zanzibar, a driver will arrange to pick you up at around 5:00 AM and drive you to Abeid Amani Karume International Airport. Your driver/guide will pick you up from Arusha at 9:20 A.M. and also be able to brief you on what you stand to expect during your trip.
After the briefing you will then proceed to drive for approx 2 hours to Tarangire National Park.
Here you have the breathtaking sight of the vast sweeping plain grasslands spotted with giant Baobab trees and the red colours of the Maasai people’s homes and movement in the form of their animals.
Tarangire National Park is famous for its impressing old baobab trees, photogenic tree climbing pythons, and the largest population of elephants, lions, leopards and cheetahs.
After the lunch which will be served in the mid morning, you will continue with your game drive action before going to the Kankari Lodge for dinner and an overnight.

The best time to visit: It is from the month of July to November when animals start congregating around the Tarangire River.

After breakfast you will start the journey to Serengeti National Park.
This will take you to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you’ll have the view of the Ngorongoro Crater which is breathtaking.
Again, there are many wildlife sightings on this drive since there are often a lot of animals on the southern plains.
On this trip, you will take lunch then proceed with the trip before you arrive Tukaone Serengeti Camp in the evening.

This will be the last day in the Serengeti. So, let’s bid adieu to the park in style!”
After that, we will have a boxed lunch while heading for the morning game drive, which will take 6 hours. You will be able to experience what The Serengeti is all about (beauty, different types of terrains and ripped wildlife) for one more time.
We will then return to the camp for lunch and afterwards pick up our items before proceeding to Ngorongoro Highlands. On the way, we will make some more stops to observe the wildlife.
We shall then spend the night at Kankari Lodge.

We will then drive to the crater floor, approximately 600 meters below by far the sweet spot for wildlife sighting.
This beautiful park will provide you with almost all kinds of wild animals that you can find in East Africa such as the black rhino (or it will be our wish if we are privileged to see it).
We will have our lunch at the base of this crater by around lunch time near a hippo lake and then take our final pictures in the park before we head back to Arusha.

Today is your last full day with us. We trust that until this point in time you have been having one magical safari experience with us.
Today you will go for a nature and cultural tour to Materuni waterfalls and Kikuletwa before proceeding to the airport.
You will then get to enjoy the view as you engage in a nice, healthy hike to Materuni waterfalls, and wash off in the water. Then, you will go for a visit to a local Tanazanian farm to learn more about coffee production after which you will be able to relax in Kikuletwa hot Springs.
We will take you back to the airport and bid our farewells and wish we can do more adventurous adventures.

The 5-Day Midrange Safari plus Kili Excursion from Zanzibar can be considered moderate in its level of physical activity. However, the actual safari is not strenuous in the conventional sense as game viewing is done during game drives in the custom-built 4×4 safari vehicles. However, the walking trip to the Materuni Waterfalls does include some hiking even though it will only take approximately 30 minutes through a challenging environment characterized by a rainforest. It is not a very difficult hike as there are some steep areas and rough terrains in some parts of the trail but it can be conquer by most tourists. If you have any issues regarding mobility it is advisable to let your tour operator or travel agent know when you book in so they can prepare appropriately.
This midrange 5 Days Safari plus Kili Excursion is great anytime of the year but here is the best time to visit Zanzibar. The best time to view wildlife is in the dry season- June to October, the plains of Serengeti hosts thousands of animals especially around the water sources since the vegetation is sparse. This is also a good time to see part of the great migration too. The best season to visit this park is during the wet season between November and May because the park has a tropical climate, there are less people around and the birds are many. For the calving season, it is advisable to plan your visit in the early part of the year, particularly in January or February. Tipe: The Materuni Waterfalls are beautifully located and can be visited any time of the year but is particularly attractive during the rainy season.
For the 5-Day Midrange Safari and Kili Excursion from Zanzibar, it is recommended to pack light colored and breathable outfits for-game viewing activities, a warm jacket for early morning and evening game viewing. Since the Materuni Waterfalls tour involves a hike, proper footwear such as comfortable hiking shoes is recommended. Pack hat, sunglasses, sunblock, insect repellent and one reusable water bottle. A good camera with extra batteries and memory cards – especially for the awkward locations and times when lighting may not always be favourable for shooting wildlife. Safari will be more interesting with binoculars, and if you are planning for a short hike the backpack will be handy to carry some essentials. However, when travelling during the rainy period, it is also prudent to pack a rain jacket.
