6-Day Explore Amboseli, Tsavo West & East & Taita Hills

Travel along the Nairobi to Mombasa road to Amboseli National Park, passing through classic African savannah dotted with Maasai homesteads and herders tending their cattle. You will arrive in time for lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive.

Amboseli is one of the best places in Africa to see large herds of elephants up close. The park is also home to a wide range of wildlife including buffalo, impala, lions, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, Maasai giraffes, zebras, and wildebeest, along with an impressive variety of birdlife.

On clear days, enjoy breathtaking views of the snow capped Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa and the world’s highest free standing peak, creating a perfect backdrop for photography.

Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Enjoy a full day of game viewing in Amboseli, where elephants are often seen roaming the plains in the early morning and evening, and gathering at Ol Okenya Swamp to feed and cool off during the day. You will also stop at Observation Hill to take in sweeping views of the park’s vast and beautiful landscape.

Your day is flexible, allowing you to follow a full day game drive or adjust the schedule to enjoy the lodge’s amenities. Your driver guide will be available to tailor the experience to your preferences, including an optional visit to a Maasai village at an extra cost.

After an early breakfast, check out and proceed to Tsavo West National Park, a dramatic wilderness often referred to as the land of lava, springs, and magical sunsets.

Discover a rugged landscape shaped by ancient volcanic activity, from the striking Shetani lava flows to the crystal clear Mzima Springs, where fresh water flows through dry lava rock to create a lush oasis. The park features open plains, acacia woodlands, and rocky ridges that offer sweeping views of wildlife below.

Tsavo West is rich in wildlife, including elephants, rhinos, hippos, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and buffaloes, along with a variety of unique bird species.

Arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive. Later, settle in for dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge.

After breakfast, head to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary for an exciting game viewing experience. The sanctuary is home to a wide range of wildlife, including elephants, zebras, buffaloes, giraffes, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and various antelope species, along with over 390 bird species.

You will stay at Taita Hills Safari Resort and Spa, where you can also explore its small museum showcasing World War I memorabilia that reflects the rich history of Taita Taveta County.

Arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive. Later, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Later, return to the camp or lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
