7-Day Garden Route & Addo National Park Safari Tour

Scenic coastal drive: Depart Cape Town via the Clarence Drive Route, one of the most beautiful coastal drives. Stop in Bettys's Bay to visit the African penguin colony. Proceed to Hermanus, famous for whale watching (June–November), and enjoy the charming seaside town.

At noon, embark on a cruise for a 2-hour whale-watching experience. You will be back around 3 pm to enjoy this beautiful and charming town, where you will overnight.

After breakfast, head to Cape Agulhas, the southernmost tip of Africa, where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet. This is a stunning viewpoint from which to witness the rugged coastline. Travel through South Africa’s famous Route 62, a picturesque drive with rolling vineyards and mountain passes.

Cango Caves adventure: Explore the Cango Caves, a labyrinth of dramatic limestone formations, stalactites, and ancient rock chambers. Visit a working ostrich farm and learn about the world’s largest flightless bird. Enjoy the afternoon in the Karoo and overnight in Oudtshoorn.

Drive through the stunning Outeniqua Mountains, entering the lush Garden Route. Explore the Knysna Lagoon, visit the iconic Knysna Heads, and stroll through the boutique shops and restaurants.

Featherbed Nature Reserve: Enjoy an eco-tour to the reserve, including a boat ride, 4x4 tractor excursion, and guided walk with spectacular views.

Enjoy the afternoon at leisure at the waterfront or take a drive to Brenton Beach for a warm swim in the Indian Ocean. You will overnight in Knysna.

After breakfast, we head to Plettenberg Bay, where we can take an optional ocean safari to see dolphins, seals, and whales (seasonal). Experience the world’s highest commercial bungee jump (216m) or watch others take the plunge. Visit Monkey-land and Birds of Eden. Walk along the famous Storms River Mouth suspension bridge, offering incredible views of the rugged coastline.

Kayak and lilo adventure (optional): Paddle through the stunning Storms River Gorge, exploring hidden caves and rock formations.

Forest walks and zip-lining: Explore indigenous forests with a canopy tour or a scenic nature walk overnight in Tsitsikamma village.

Sundowners in the bush: Enjoy a sunset drink in the wilderness while listening to the sounds of nature.

Optional night safari: Experience the thrill of a spotlight night drive, where nocturnal wildlife like hyenas and leopards become active.
