FAQs
The 7-Day Gorilla and Chimpanzee Trekking Uganda Safari features well-coordinated itinerary that takes through out the prime primate watching destinations of Uganda. The Uganda Wildlife Authority grants visitors permits for Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable National Park and chimp trekking in Kibale National Park. Included in the package are the transport in a 4×4 safari vehicle, game drives, an English speaking guide, and meals, and accommodation. These other expenditures are paid in the form of park entrance fees and bottled drinking water. As a rule, international flights, personal expenses, tips and any activities not specified in the budget are not included.
Uganda’s Gorilla and chimpanzee trekking 7 days safari entails preparing for the wet and wild, rainforest treks. Basic equipment that you will need are strong waterproof hiking boots, full-sleeved shirt, full trousers, gloves, a raincoat and insect repellent. Since wildlife photography involves shooting the animals against their will, it is advisable to have a good quality camera with extra batteries. Sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses are to shield from the sun while a backpack is useful to hold stuff during hiking. Carrying a walking stick of your own or which are provided at the parks is also essential due to the steep inclines.
The level of difficulty of the treks on the 7-Day Gorilla and Chimpanzee Trekking Uganda Safari depends with the area that the gorillas or the chimpanzees are located. A gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park ranges from 2 to 6 hours and involves a steep hike in a dense forested area. Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park has relatively easy track and takes about 2-4 hours on comparatively flat land. However, both treks are of moderate difficulty and tea porterage services are possible where trekkers can hire porters to help them carry their backpacks.
Best time for the 7-Day Gorilla and Chimpanzee Trekking Uganda Safari is during dry seasons from June to September and December to February. These months have fewer rain showers, and as such, the trails are less sloppy and easy for hiking activities. Trekking can be done at any time of the year; however, the rainy seasons of March-May and October November may be a little steep and sticky as a result of slippery inclines and thigh-high vegetation. Advance bookings are advised especially in the peak virgin kailash fares season because of the high demand.
The 7-Day Gorilla and Chimpanzee Trekking Uganda Safari entails some accommodation, ranging from the budget accommodation to luxury accommodation bases. While in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, people stay in lodges mainly at the beginning points of the tracking exercises like Buhoma, Ruhija or Nkuringo. Lodges in Kibale National Park are in the park vicinity, hence giving tourists the best view and comfort after hiking. Meals, private baths, beds, showers, and other amenities are always provided at the accommodations to make the stay comfortable in the heart of the wild.
When on the 7-Day Gorilla and Chimpanzee Trekking Uganda Safari, visitors can see the primates at one distance without and risks of attack. When trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, individuals are permitted to be near the gorillas at a close range of about 7 meters (23 feet) to reduce contact with the animals that may cause sickness. In Kibale National Park, the same sort of peach is used but for chimpanzees. These are friendly primates and visitors are with them for about one hour allowing them to make various photographs while at the same time adhering to conservation rules and regulations.
