4-Day Gorilla Trekking, Lake Burera and Game Drives

At 7:00am, the tour driver will pick you up from your hotel.

Start your day with a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial and a trip to Kimironko Market. Here, you can explore vibrant local life and take a short walk around the city.

You can enjoy lunch in Kigali at your own expense before departing for Lake Burera.

The transfer to Lake Burera will take approximately 2—3 hours.

Once you arrive, enjoy a scenic boat ride on Lake Burera, taking in the stunning landscapes.

At 6:00pm, check in at your hotel and relax for the evening in preparation for the next day's adventures.

5:00am: Depart from your hotel for Volcanoes National Park, taking a packed breakfast.
7:00am: Arrive at the park and check in at the briefing center for the gorilla trekking experience.
8:00am: Begin the trek to find the mountain gorillas, guided by experienced rangers. The trek can take 2—6 hours, depending on the gorillas' location.
12:00pm: After spending an unforgettable hour with the gorillas, trek back to the starting point.
1:00pm: Enjoy a packed lunch or return to the park’s base for lunch.
3:00pm: Transfer back to Kigali, which takes approximately 2.5—3 hours.
6:00pm: Arrive in Kigali, check in at your hotel, or conclude your trip.

5:30am: Depart from Kigali to Akagera National Park (approximately 2.5—3 hours).
8:30am: Arrive at Akagera and begin your morning game drive, where you can spot wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, zebras and lions.
12:00pm: Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park or designated spot.
1:30pm: Head to Lake Ihema for a relaxing boat ride, where you may see hippos, crocodiles and various bird species.
3:30pm: Continue exploring the park with an afternoon game drive.
6:00pm: Check in at your lodge in Akagera for the night, unwind and prepare for the next day's adventures.

After breakfast, start your transfer back to Kigali from Akagera National Park, which will take approximately 2.5—3 hours.

Continue your journey to Kigali, where you will be dropped off at your hotel.
