Enjoy great views of the mountain scenery as you start your trek into the park to find the golden monkeys. The golden monkeys live near the edge of the park in the bamboo forests where the ground is relatively flat and easy to trek. How they love the potatoes!

This is a high-activity tour. Tracking three different primates in six days involves significant hiking on varied terrain. We recommend that participants in the 6-Day Ultimate Apes and Wildlife Rwanda-Uganda Safari have a good level of physical fitness and are comfortable with early morning starts.
Protection is paramount. For the forest segments of your 6-Day Ultimate Apes and Wildlife Rwanda-Uganda Safari, pack long-sleeved moisture-wicking shirts, long trousers to tuck into your socks, and gardening gloves to help you grip onto vegetation without being stung by nettles.
To protect the primates from human diseases and stress, you must maintain a 10-meter (32-foot) distance from the gorillas and chimps. Your guides on the 6-Day Ultimate Apes and Wildlife Rwanda-Uganda Safari are experts at positioning you for the best views while strictly adhering to these conservation guidelines.
