This “Grand Circuit” safari covers the very best of the Albertine Rift. The 12-Day Uganda Rwanda Gorilla and Wildlife Adventure includes trekking for mountain gorillas, chimpanzees, and golden monkeys, as well as “Big Five” game drives in Murchison Falls and Queen Elizabeth National Parks.
These are the famous nicknames for the two countries you will explore. During the 12-Day Uganda Rwanda Gorilla and Wildlife Adventure, you’ll experience Uganda’s lush, varied landscapes (The Pearl) and Rwanda’s iconic, mist-covered volcanic peaks (The Thousand Hills).
This itinerary is exceptionally comprehensive, covering six major parks: Murchison Falls, Kibale, Queen Elizabeth, Bwindi, and Mgahinga in Uganda, plus Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda.
On your way to Murchison Falls during the 12-Day Uganda Rwanda Gorilla and Wildlife Adventure, you will visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. This is the only place in Uganda to see wild southern white rhinos, and you will track them on foot with an expert ranger.
Because you are visiting multiple mountainous regions, a moderate level of fitness is recommended. The gorilla and chimp treks on the 12-Day Uganda Rwanda Gorilla and Wildlife Adventure can last anywhere from 2 to 7 hours depending on the animals’ movement.
Yes. We strongly recommend the East Africa Tourist Visa ($100 USD). It covers both Uganda and Rwanda and allows for multiple entries, making the border crossing during your 12-Day Uganda Rwanda Gorilla and Wildlife Adventure seamless.
