Itinerary
You will be landing at Entebbe which is the start of your Ugandan odyssey. From there you will be transfer to Jinja, the paradise well known for upward river rafting on Nile River. There is always an adrenaline rush while maneuvering through the rapids and navigating is a wild experience in this form of activity. Next, you will relax at this beautiful scenic view by the banks of the river, admire the scenery that you see before proceeding with the remainder of your tour through the beautiful Ugandan countryside.
Starting the tour in Entebbe makes your journey through Uganda official. You will proceed to Jinja to enjoy white-water rafting on the famous River Nile. The 11-Day Uganda Gorilla Trek & Wildlife Adventure entails 4 nights’ stay and meals based on the itinerary, park fees, gorilla and chimpanzee treks, ground transportation in a 4 x 4 safari vehicle, an experienced guide, and wildlife game drives. Besides, it encompasses boat safaris, nature walks, and cultural tourism. Transportation expenditures, meals, tipping and international incidental expenses, and travel insurance are excluded.

Hiking may take between 2-6 hours thus depending on the location of these gentle giants. Walking on steep and rough terrains is tiring but there are porters available to help carry your luggage. Other activities that are part of the remaining itinerary include game drives and boat safaris which are not physically strenuous.
While on the Uganda Gorilla Trek & Wildlife Adventure you will experience a Wildlife safari tracking Mountain Gorillas in Bwindi, Chimps in Kibale Tourist Park, and climbing lions in Queen Elizabeth Tourist Park. Wildlife found in this park is comprised of elephants, buffaloes, hippos and crocodiles, giraffes and many species of birds. Leopards, antelopes, and all types of primates are also found in Murchison Falls National Park plus the famous Nile River.
Indeed, the most rewarding time to tour the Uganda Gorilla Trek & Wildlife Adventure is during the dry seasons which are from June-August and December-February. Ideally, these months provide better trekking conditions since the trails are not as wet and slippery as in the earlier part of the year. But Uganda ‘s parks are always open all year round and the areas are less congested during the rainy periods of March-May and September- November the view as well as the vegetation is equally okay for wildlife viewing.
When planning for the Uganda Gorilla Trek & Wildlife Adventure, it is advisable to pack light and comfortable clothing, good walking shoes, rain wear, insect repellent, sun screen and hat. A small rucksack makes it easier to take water and snacks during most hikes. Gorilla trekking permits must be booked in advance as it is a controlled activity due to constraints in the number of gorillas that can be trekked in the whole of Uganda. As for physical activity, the light exercises like hiking or cardio training should be done prior to the trekking exercises.
The Uganda Gorilla Trek & Wildlife Adventure can accommodate families, although children below the age of 15 are not allowed to go on the gorilla trekking expeditions. Other activities that can be done by young children in Queen Elizabeth and Murchison Falls National Parks include nature walks and boat safaris. It contains features such as game viewing, cultural experiences, and primate trekking, which make it ideal for families.
