3-Day Nyungwe National Park and Lake Kivu Experience

You will depart from Kigali and visit some of the area's historical sites en route. These sites include the King's palace museum in Nyanza, and the Ethnographic Museum in Huye. Then, have your lunch in the afternoon and drive to Gisakura. Your overnight accommodation will be at a recommended hotel, lodge, or guesthouse in Gisakura.

After an early breakfast (4:45am), we will drive to the Chimp trekking point. After trekking, the canopy walkway follows. This walkway is 50 meters above ground and 200 meters long. The dizzying platform is above a steep, deep valley across a massive forest. The hanging platform, which allows visitors to view different animal species in the Nyungwe Forest National Park, spreads over hundreds of square meters and will let visitors be at eye level with different primate and bird species, all of which inhabit the upper scales of the forest. Lunch at the park cafe and proceed to Karongi. Dinner and overnight at Bethany Hotel.

Proceed to Karongi for a visit to Napoleon Island and a Kivu boating experience. At the end of the tour, you will drive back to Kigali, then the airport, and finally, depart home.
