This safari adventure to Akagera National Park promises an incredible experience in the stunning Akagera wilderness, where you’ll encounter a diverse range of wildlife and birds in Rwanda. Additionally, this safari includes a journey through Kigali city to Mgahinga National Park for golden monkey trekking, following an exhilarating border crossing from southwestern Uganda. Here, you’ll immerse yourself in yet another breathtaking experience with gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
On arrival in Rwanda, you will be welcomed and picked by our Kubwa Five Safaris guide who will be holding an A4 paper with your name printed on it at Kigali International Airport and be transferred to Kigali.
You will go for a city tour in Kigali and have lunch en route. After lunch, you will visit the Genocide memorial site which gives a brief history of Rwanda
After that, you will drive northwards to Volcanoes National Park. On arrival, you will visit the community cultural Village to enjoy the Rwandan culture including the traditional dance.

After breakfast, you will gather at the park headquarters in the morning for a briefing, equipped with your trekking gear and drinking water. The day's activity involves ascending into the forest to track golden monkeys.
While participating in the golden money trek, you will learn facts about golden monkeys that will make your Rwanda tour even more interesting. After lunch you will be taken to visit the Dian Fossey Center.
In the evening you will visit the Iby'lwacu Cultural center to enjoy the Rwandan culture including the traditional dance.

After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which is renowned for its iconic mountain gorillas. Check in at your lodge for lunch and prepare for another highlight of the trip: tracking mountain gorillas.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park boasts a rich biodiversity, hosting over 346 bird species, 120 mammal species, 400 plant species, 27 frog species (among others), and covering an area of 331 sq km. After arriving you’ll go a community walk to visit with the Batwa, an indigenous group that has resided in the forest for 500,000 years. Enjoy their traditional dances and performances.

After breakfast, you will head to the park's head offices with your packed lunch while accompanied by your guide for a comprehensive briefing on the do’s and don’ts of interacting with gorillas in the park.
After the briefing, we’ll begin our gorilla trek through the misty rainforest. Trekking can last anywhere from 2-6 hours depending on the location of the gentle giants. Make sure you’re carrying enough water and have sturdy shoes, non-flash cameras, and rain jackets. Supporting almost half the world's mountain gorillas.
After the trek, we will embark on a community walk where you will visit the Batwa, which is an indigenous group of people that have lived in the forest for 500,000 years. You will enjoy traditional dances and drama from them.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Ishasha sector for the tree-climbing lions on the Kasenyi Plains, it is time to go to the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. This area is famous for its tree-climbing lions.
When you arrive in Ishasha, you will first try to spot the lions in one of the huge trees. You will get the opportunity to look for some of the wildlife you missed first time around and you will definitely have fun.
After, you will be driven to Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will have an evening game drive.

After breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive within Queen Elizabeth National Park, aiming to see lions hunting during the morning hours. Expect to encounter Uganda kob, elephants, buffalo, warthogs, leopards, and waterbucks during the drive.
After the game drive, enjoy a scenic boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. This boat cruise offers excellent wildlife sightings, including squacco herons, pied kingfishers, numerous buffalo and hippo, basking crocodiles, various bird species, and large mammals. This is one of the most memorable experiences in the park.
Following the boat ride, you will be driven to Kibale National Park. You will have a stopover at the equator.

After an early breakfast, you will go to the park headquarters with your guide and a packed lunch to be briefed about the dos and don'ts of chimpanzee trekking. After this, you will embark on the trekking. This will take between 2 to 6 hours depending on the location of these amazing creatures.
After trekking, you will visit the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary.
It is a fascinating area located in the Magombe swamp. This area is recognized for an extensive array of biodiversity among which are several primate species like the red Colobus monkey, baboon, black and white Colobus monkey, blue monkey grey cheeked, mangabey, vervet monkey, red-tailed monkey, and the L’Hoest monkey. Additional mammals include sitatunga, mongooses, bush pigs, otters plus bushbucks.

After your breakfast, you embark on our journey back to Entebbe making a stop at the Equator in Masaka for lunch, photographs and souvenirs.
You will then be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your scheduled flight back home.
