Upon your arrival at the airport, our representative will warmly welcome you and escort you to Entebbe, where your accommodations await. Take advantage of this time to refresh and mentally prepare for the exciting activities ahead.
In the morning, our chauffeur will pick you up from your accommodation. Your journey will then take you to Ziwa Rhino Ranch, where you'll have the opportunity to spend two to three hours trekking and capturing incredible photographs of these majestic white rhinos. Following your visit, you'll proceed to Masindi town, where you can savor a delectable meal at Kabalega Dinners. After lunch, you'll head to the camp where you'll be spending the upcoming days.
At 6:30 am, after enjoying our morning meal, we will embark on a thrilling game drive to explore the area and spot the African Big Five, as well as warthogs, hyenas, antelopes, bushbucks, baboons, olive monkeys, and lions. This drive typically lasts between 3 to 4 hours, following which we'll return to camp for lunch. After our meal, we'll embark on a river Nile boat trip operated by Wild Frontiers, offering a chance to encounter a wealth of wildlife and enjoy entertainment. Later in the afternoon, we'll have leisure time to relax back at camp.
Upon completion of the briefing, you will proceed to embark on your memorable journey of chimpanzee tracking. As you trek towards the trailhead, your guide will share fascinating facts about the surrounding forest and the diverse array of primates, birds, or mammals that inhabit it. Upon reaching the chimpanzee family area, you will have the extraordinary opportunity to observe these incredible creatures as they engage in their daily activities - eating, playing, nurturing their young, and emitting loud calls. Following the trek, you will return to camp, enjoy dinner, and prepare for the next leg of your expedition to Queen Elizabeth National Park, a journey that typically takes 3-4 hours.
Meals & Drinks:
Following breakfast, we will commence our journey to the park entrance. Upon arrival, we will participate in an informative session about the safari experience awaiting us, where we will have the opportunity to encounter a diverse range of wildlife including lions, elephants, hippopotamuses, buffaloes, warthogs, giraffes, antelopes, and striped mangoes. Around midday, we will return to the camp and spend the afternoon unwinding while admiring the breathtaking sunset.
Meals & Drinks:
Join us for a distinctive adventure as we venture into the Kigezi Forest Reserve in the morning to discover its wildlife. Following our exploration, we will return to the campsite for lunch. In the afternoon, we'll enjoy activities along the Ntungwe River before retiring to the camp for some well-deserved relaxation.
After enjoying breakfast, we'll embark on our trek early in the morning. Our journey by car will span approximately five hours, during which we'll enjoy packed lunch boxes en route. By late afternoon, we'll reach our destination, fully prepared for the activities planned for the following day.
Following breakfast, we'll convene for a briefing session to ready ourselves for the gorilla trekking adventure in the Rushaga sector. After trekking for several hours, we'll be granted the precious opportunity to spend up to one hour in the presence of the mountain gorillas. Upon completion, we'll make our way back to the lodge, where we'll enjoy lunch and unwind for the remainder of the evening.
Our tour commences with an experienced guide leading us through the enchanting misty Batwa forest, where we'll immerse ourselves in the culture and traditions of the Pygmies who reside there. Following our exploration, we'll return to the lodge for lunch before embarking on a historic cave expedition, offering opportunities to capture remarkable photos and admire the natural architecture. Afterwards, you can unwind at the lodge and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.
Following breakfast, we'll embark on a two-hour journey to Lake Bunyonyi for a full day of immersing ourselves in nature. You'll have the opportunity to canoe on the picturesque lake and admire its natural beauty, along with the diverse bird species it hosts. After lunch, we'll proceed to Lake Mburo National Park, a 3-4 hour journey away. Upon arrival, you can settle into your accommodation and further explore the local wildlife.
Lake Mburo boasts an impressive array of over 315 distinct bird species, making it a premier destination to witness the migration of acacia-associated birds such as the mosque swallow, black-bellied bustard, bare-faced-go away bird, and Ruppell’s starling. Lucky observers may even catch sight of the southern ground hornbill and black-throated barbet. Following this avian spectacle, you can embark on a game drive to observe zebras and other wildlife. Today, as we embark on our departure, we'll journey towards Entebbe, making a planned stop at the midpoint of the Equator in Mpigi for a lunch break. Departing from our lodgings around 11 am, we anticipate a travel time of approximately four hours until we reach Entebbe, marking the end of our journey.
