We're native Africans and experienced safari enthusiasts. As conservationists, educators, storytellers, and fiercely independent explorers, EXODUS SAFARIS aims to show travelers how locals experience safaris. We venture into the African bush on foot, by canoe, on horseback, by bike, and occasionally in 4x4s. And in case you were wondering... yes, there truly is an Exodus.

We design safaris for small groups, families, and independent travelers, as well as create unique safari experiences for adventurous companies and forward-thinking leaders seeking staff motivation programs and team development expeditions.

We introduce you to the Africa we know deeply—places we've personally experienced and wholeheartedly recommend. Our focus is on the pristine wilderness areas of Southern and East Africa, including Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia, South Africa, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda. We take you so far off the beaten path and away from the crowds that you'll forget there was ever a track. We carefully choose exceptional pockets of African wilderness to share with only a select few.

If you prefer to go solo, we remain available throughout your journey, acting as your ultimate safari support team.

Born and raised in East Africa, with strong ties to Southern Africa, we have a deep passion for these regions. We own a piece of African wilderness and are committed to investing in Africa as well.

We collaborate with the finest local safari operators, whom we personally visit, vet, and choose to work with based on our shared values. Like us, they are typically small, boutique operations with a long history of guiding, often spanning generations. We build lasting relationships grounded in trust.

However, based on your needs, our team, led by Johan, personally designs each itinerary using their unique skills and insights from years of adhering to the ‘continued safari philosophy’.
