Our day starts with a satisfying breakfast followed by our transfer to Murchison Falls National Park. Upon reaching the Kanio Pabidi outpost, we undergo the required registration and briefing session before embarking on the Chimpanzee Trekking adventure. The duration of this experience varies, typically lasting three hours or more, depending on the availability of food for the chimpanzees. Following the trek, we return to the outpost for a delicious lunch and some leisurely time. Later, we continue our journey to the summit of Murchison Falls for another captivating stop before dinner and overnight rest.
Commence your day with a vibrant and nourishing breakfast, then embark on an adventure through the African wilderness in search of its magnificent inhabitants, such as elephants, buffaloes, bushbucks, giraffes, cobs, lions, and leopards. Keep an eye out for a variety of bird species, including the rare shoe-billed stork. Following three to four hours of thrilling game driving, pause for a relaxing lunch. Afterwards, set sail on an afternoon boat cruise along the Nile, offering an up-close encounter with wildlife cooling off along the riverbanks. Conclude your day with a delightful dinner back at the lodge and prepare for a restful night.
Following breakfast, the group embarks on a boat excursion around 9:00 AM to explore the Delta and observe wildlife, with a particular focus on sighting the majestic Shoe-Billed Stork. Upon returning to the Lodge, lunch is served before the journey continues towards Hoima. En route, the group passes through the Bulisa escapement for a scenic view of Lake Albert and the Albertine Rift Valley. The day concludes with arrival at Hotel Kolping, where the group checks in for dinner and an overnight stay.
Once we've energized ourselves with breakfast, we embark on our journey towards Kibale National Park, traversing the charming homesteads and picturesque tea fields of Fort Portal (Kabarore). A packed lunch accompanies us on the drive, and as the evening descends, we arrive at our destination. Upon checking in at Rweteera Safari Park, we savor a delightful dinner before settling in for the night.
Following breakfast, we proceed to the Park Offices for registration before embarking on an exhilarating trek through one of East Africa's oldest forests, where towering trees reach heights of up to 50 meters. Our trek, spanning possibly three hours, is dedicated to encountering Habituated Chimpanzees! As we explore, keep an eye out for other primate species such as Black and White Colobus, Red Colobus, Red-tailed, Lhotse's Monkeys, and Grey-cheeked Mangabey. Don't miss the opportunity to pause and admire the diverse birdlife, including the rare Green Breasted Pita. Upon returning to the Lodge for lunch, we later embark on a nature walk through the Bigodi wetland, a highly rewarding experience in itself. Finally, we conclude the day with dinner and settle in for an overnight stay at the Lodge.
Following breakfast, we set out for Queen Elizabeth National Park, traversing the scenic Crater Lakes region and continuing southward along the foot of the Rwenzori Mountain Ranges, which serve as a natural boundary between Uganda and Congo. We'll pause for lunch at Kasese before entering the park in the afternoon and checking into the Bush Lodge at Baboon Safari Resort. After settling in, take advantage of the free evening to relax and explore. Dinner will be served, followed by an overnight stay.
The morning journey commences with a revitalizing cup of coffee before venturing to the Kasenyi plains, where we seek encounters with a variety of wild animal species including Elephants, Waterbucks, Cobs, Buffaloes, Giant Forest Hogs, Bushbucks, Hyenas, Lions, and Leopards. Furthermore, the park's remarkable diversity boasts 612 recorded bird species, making it home to one of the world's largest bird populations. Following breakfast and lunch, we set sail on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, offering an opportunity for close-up wildlife observation. As the day progresses, dinner awaits at the Baboon Safari Resort, where we will spend the night.
Following breakfast, we embark on a journey to the Katwe salt lake, situated at the periphery of the Park, to delve into the salt extraction process in the region. Surprisingly, latex serves as a component of the protective equipment used during salt mining—an intriguing sight not to be missed. Come and witness this unique experience firsthand; it's truly remarkable! Subsequently, we proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, with a possible detour to the Ishasha sector where we may be fortunate enough to spot the renowned tree-climbing Lions. Arriving in Bwindi by nightfall, we settle into the Gorilla Mist Camp for dinner and a tranquil night's rest.
Following a satisfying breakfast, we head to the Park Offices to complete all necessary documentation and receive instructions before embarking on the highlight of our safari: Gorilla Trekking. This journey presents challenges, navigating steep inclines through the muddy terrain of Yenata, occasionally accompanied by rain. The duration of the trek varies, spanning from two to eight hours contingent upon available food sources along the route. Upon returning to the Lodge, we relax over dinner and retire for the night at Gorilla Mist Camp.
Following a delightful morning meal, we embark on our journey to Lake Mburo National Park, traversing the undulating hills of Kigezi and Ankole. A planned lunch stop awaits us along the way. Upon arrival, a mini game drive beckons, preceding our check-in at Eagles Nest Lodge. An exhilarating boat cruise on Lake Mburo ensues, offering opportunities to encounter a variety of wildlife including Hippos, Crocodiles, Elands, Statungas, Monitor lizards, and the rare African Finfoot bird. The evening culminates with dinner at the Lodge, where we will spend the night.
Begin your day bright and early with an unforgettable Nature walk along the shores of Lake Mburo! This extraordinary excursion offers glimpses of Zebras, Impalas, Reedbuck, Cliffspringers, Buffaloes, and with luck, even Leopards! As you traverse this marvelous terrain, you'll also encounter a splendid variety of birdlife, including the Papyrus Gonolake. After concluding your journey, return to the hotel for breakfast before continuing to Kampala. Upon arrival, check in at either Acactus hotel or the airport, depending on your schedule.
