We'll pick you up from your accommodation in Arusha and take the drive through the Masai Steppe to Makuyuni Junction and eventually to the Tarangire National Park. This park is the fifth-largest in Tanzania, with its wonderful baobab trees and herds of large elephants. It's an absolute must-see for anyone visiting the area on an African safari. Wildlife of all kinds can be found in the park, including some rarer species like the oryx and hirolas, as well as a few select bird species. In the afternoon, we will depart the park and make our way to the Karatu area. Here, you can enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the Foresight Eco Lodge.
After you enjoy breakfast at your lodge with the morning sun peering through, you'll check out and make your way to Ngorongoro Crater, which some call the 8th Wonder of the World. At the Loduare Main Gate, you'll register before embarking on your exciting game drive within the crater itself. A picnic lunch will be served during your expedition right on the crater floor.
Ngorongoro Crater has been hailed as one of the great Wonders of the World. This spectacular phenomenon is actually an intact volcanic caldera, and it is among the few places where the vulnerable black rhino can be seen in its natural habitat.
