We will commence our journey at 8:30 am from the capital city, making a delightful stop at Dedza Pottery to savor some delicious cheesecake and Malawi coffee. As we proceed, we'll pause for lunch before reaching Lilongwe National Park.
Our mode of transportation across the Shire River to our lodging is by boat, offering the possibility of spotting hippos nearby. After receiving safety guidelines for the game area and settling in, we embark on a captivating 3-hour boat safari at sunset.
The following morning, an early game drive accompanied by skilled rangers provides us with the opportunity to observe black rhinos and other wildlife in the park.
Following the morning adventure, we retreat from the midday heat to enjoy a hearty breakfast. The afternoon is dedicated to leisure activities before reconvening with the ranger for the afternoon game drive.
Following an unforgettable game drive around Liwonde National Park and a satisfying breakfast, we embark on another journey across the Shire River before heading to Senga Bay. From there, a boat transfer awaits to take us to Nankoma Island, nestled in the stunning Lake Malawi. Our accommodation for the next two nights offers a plethora of non-motorized activities like kayaking and snorkeling, all included in the package at no additional cost.
Upon arrival, we indulge in a delicious lunch, with all meals, beverages (excluding spirits), and a delightful boat cruise on Lake Malawi covered in the price of our stay.
As our remarkable Malawian adventure comes to an end, we entrust ourselves to the capable hands of our skipper, who will guide us back to the mainland. Our departure from the island is set for 11:00 am, allowing us to savor one final panoramic view over Livingstonia while relishing a leisurely lunch.
We expect to return to Lilongwe by 4:00 pm, cherishing the picturesque vistas along the journey from Senga Bay.
