Mikumi National Park is the fourth-largest national park in Tanzania and one of the easiest parks to access from Dar es Salaam. Spanning approximately 3,230 km² (1,250 mi²), the park is beautifully positioned between the Uluguru Mountains in the north and the Lumango Mountains to the southeast. Itinerary
Pick-up: You will be collected from the airport, hotel, or ferry and transferred to the SGR station for your train to Morogoro (approximately 1 hour 45 minutes). On arrival, your driver–guide will take you to Mikumi National Park for a late-morning to afternoon game drive. After a hot lunch, continue your game drive until late evening, then transfer to Camp Lilac Mikumi for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, we will embark on a day game drive to observe animals in Mikumi National Park. One of Mikumi's key features is its large plain, making it easier to spot a variety of animals. The park is home to animals such as lions, elephants, buffaloes, impalas, zebras, and many others. Following the game drive, we will enjoy lunch at one of the picnic campsites in the park. After lunch, we will return to Camp lilac Mikumi to relax for a bit. Around 4:00pm, we will visit a Masai village and stay until late evening before driving back to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

We will have an early breakfast, and afterward, our driver will take us to Morogoro SGR Station for our train to Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam, our driver will transport us from the station to the airport, hotel, or ferry for our boat to Zanzibar.
