Day 01 Nairobi – Kenya

Our East African journey commences amidst the vibrant atmosphere of Nairobi, the gateway to Kenya and numerous wildlife sanctuaries across the continent. Upon your arrival at the international airport, we'll escort you to our initial overnight lodging. Day one grants you the opportunity to rejuvenate, gearing up for the remarkable wildlife safari experiences awaiting us in Kenya and Tanzania. Distance traveled: 20 kilometers Accommodation: Overnight stay at a Nairobi hotel Meals: Dinner

Day 02 Nairobi to Amboseli – Kenya

On the second day of our economical African safari, we immerse ourselves in the vibrant essence of Nairobi. Exploring urban Africa and its blend of contemporary and traditional facets, we begin our journey at the Karen Blixen Museum, the former residence of the Danish author Baroness Karen von Blixen-Finecke, renowned for her work "Out of Africa" in 1937. Our next stop is the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, where we witness the nurturing of baby elephants and rhinos, preparing them for reintroduction into the wild at Tsavo East National Park. Here, we observe these animals being bottle-fed and enjoying supervised mud baths at the orphanage. Continuing our exploration, we visit the Giraffe Centre to encounter the endangered Rothschild Giraffes. Supported by the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife, this project focuses on giraffe breeding and hosts a youth conservation education program. Following a replenishing hot lunch at the hotel, we embark on the inaugural leg of our Kenya & Tanzania Safari, covering a 240-kilometer journey south to reach Amboseli National Park. Situated on the border of Kenya and Tanzania, this game park offers breathtaking scenery and ranks as the second most popular game park, following Masai Mara. After spending a night at a safari camp, we relish the awe-inspiring landscapes of Amboseli National Park.

Day 03 Amboseli National Park – Kenya

Join us in the morning for an extraordinary expedition through the stunning Amboseli National Park. As we traverse its landscapes, a diverse array of wildlife awaits, from birds and African mammals to the semi-nomadic Maasai people. Against the backdrop of lush swamps and the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro, capture once-in-a-lifetime photographs of the region's majestic bull elephants, adorned with impressive tusks. Amboseli Park stands renowned for its elephant populations and harbors the illustrious Big Five of Africa: lions, leopards, rhinos, buffaloes, and elephants. Additionally, sightings of cheetahs, hippos, crocodiles, zebras, giraffes, African wild dogs, kudu, dik-diks, and more are commonplace. With over 600 bird species recorded, including African skimmers, bishops, Egyptian geese, goshawks, pelicans, weavers, and vultures, the park is a birdwatcher's paradise. Revel in all the marvels Amboseli has to offer with a full day of game viewing and a picnic lunch, culminating in an overnight stay at a safari camp, where meals are provided at breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 04 Amboseli to Arusha – Tanzania

Today, we indulge in a leisurely breakfast before embarking on our journey towards the border between Kenya and Tanzania. Upon crossing into Tanzania, our path leads us to Kilimanjaro National Park, with a delightful stop at the Marangu waterfalls. Be sure to don your most reliable pair of walking shoes for the moderately challenging ascent to the waterfall. Following our trek, we resume our drive and arrive in Moshi, where you can explore the wonders of Kilimanjaro Park. Eventually, we reach our final destination for the night, a charming boutique hotel in Arusha, nestled near Mount Meru, the fifth highest peak in Africa. Please be advised that there will be a vehicle and guide changeover upon crossing from Kenya to Tanzania. Today's journey spans a total distance of 210 kilometers, and meals provided include breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 05 Arusha to Tarangire National Park – Tanzania

Today, we embark on our excursion to Tarangire National Park, immersing ourselves in the breathtaking vistas of the Masai Steppe and distant mountains. This oasis within the Northern Safari Circuit presents a unique blend of habitats, promising an unforgettable African safari experience. As we traverse the park on our game drives, we pause for a delightful picnic lunch before encountering the remarkable elephant population, the highest density in all of Tanzania! Tarangire is not only renowned for its baobab trees but also for its tree-climbing lions. Encompassing 2850 square kilometers, this wildlife haven serves as the starting point for the annual migratory route through northern Tanzania. Follow the epic journey of the great herds of elephants, wildebeest, and zebras in search of verdant pastures. Our safari package includes a 150-kilometer drive to Tarangire Park, along with accommodation at a splendid safari lodge. Throughout our journey, we'll relish three meals each day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Let's embark on this extraordinary Tanzanian safari adventure!

Day 06 Tarangire to Lake Manyara National Park – Tanzania

Today, your journey begins with a visit to Lake Manyara National Park, nestled at the foot of the western escarpment of the Great Rift Valley. This picturesque destination boasts over 380 bird species and hosts large flocks of flamingos. Notably, the park is famed for its elusive tree-climbing lions! Following a captivating game drive amidst the untamed landscapes, you'll spend the night in a safari lodge conveniently located nearby. Your 130-kilometer journey from the hotel to the park will be accompanied by meals en route, culminating in a delightful evening at the lodge.

Day 07 Lake Manyara Cultural Experience – Tanzania

This morning marks the beginning of your journey to the lively village of Mto-wa-Mbu, nestled in the East African Rift Valley, where you'll delve into the rich tapestry of Tanzanian cultures and traditions. Wander through the bustling local market, where you can peruse an array of unique Tanzanian crafts and artworks. Traverse vibrant farmlands and pay a visit to a Chagga family renowned for producing banana beer. Your guide will illuminate the localized farming techniques employed to cultivate the area's fruits and vegetables. Indulge in the flavors of local cuisine with a lunch prepared by a mama from the region. Delve further into the community by exploring a center for children with disabilities and a nearby school before venturing to a classic Maasai boma. Here, you'll witness the proud Maasai tribe of the Great Rift Valley, renowned for their resplendent robes. After a captivating day of cultural immersion, return to the safari lodge at Lake Manyara Park to unwind with dinner.

Day 08 Karatu to Ngorongoro Crater & Serengeti – Tanzania

On the eighth day of this affordable African safari adventure, travelers kickstart the morning with an early breakfast before setting off to Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and deemed the 8th Natural Wonder of the World, this site boasts a staggering animal population and an abundance of the Big Five beasts. The journey to the crater unveils breathtaking scenic beauty, with travelers ascending the outer crater wall before descending into the wildlife haven below. The caldera teems with approximately 25,000 large animals, thriving on a diverse array of resources, from hyenas to wildebeest, and more than 400 different species of birds. Following an unforgettable experience, travelers proceed to Serengeti National Park, pausing for game viewing along the way. This expansive reserve is renowned for its rolling savannahs and rocky hills that extend across the Southern Plains region. Day 09-10 Serengeti National Park (Seronera) – Tanzania

Day 11 Serengeti Park to Lake Victoria – Tanzania

This morning, we bid farewell to the breathtaking landscapes of Serengeti National Park as we set our course towards the revered Lake Victoria, the largest tropical lake in the world. En route, our journey takes us through rural areas where we are entranced by the rich culture and traditions of the Sukuma people, indigenous to North Tanzania. With beliefs rooted in a spiritual and supernatural universe since ancient times, the Sukuma tribe sustains their livelihood through livestock farming and the cultivation of sorghum, nuts, and cassava. Our visit offers a glimpse into the amalgamation of age-old and modern customs within African culture. Later in the day, we marvel at the magnificent vistas of the Great African Lake or opt for a leisurely bird-watching stroll. Day 12 Lake Victoria to Masai Mara – Kenya

Prepare yourself for an exhilarating adventure as we journey to a fishing village nestled on the shores of Lake Victoria. From there, we'll head north, crossing into Kenya, Africa's premier safari destination. Continuing southwest, we'll arrive at the renowned Masai Mara National Park, where the annual wildebeest migration unfolds. This vast game reserve is celebrated for its abundance of big cats such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Additionally, it serves as the heartland of Maasai country, where these semi-nomadic people have preserved their traditional customs for centuries. Remember, as we transition from Tanzania to Kenya, we'll switch vehicles with a new guide accompanying us. Brace yourself for an exciting 270-kilometer journey complete with breakfast, lunch, and dinner included, culminating in a stay at a jungle camp nestled in the vicinity!

Day 13 Masai Mara National Park – Kenya

Today, our journey transports us to the renowned Masai Mara National Reserve in Africa, where we embark on an unforgettable full-day safari. This exceptional wildlife sanctuary teems with some of the planet's most magnificent animals, including the iconic Big Five: lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, and black rhino, alongside cheetahs, zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, topis, gazelles, impala antelopes, and an array of other creatures. The diverse terrain of Masai Mara encompasses riverine forests, savanna plains, and acacia woodlands, all nourished by the Mara and Talek rivers. These waterways are home to hippos and crocodiles, while the park also hosts a rich variety of birdlife. Along our adventure, we may encounter the Maasai people, who, in collaboration with the local government, oversee some of the outlying areas of the reserve for their cattle. Day 14 Masai Mara to Nairobi – Kenya

This afternoon, we're journeying back to the lively Kenyan capital, Nairobi. Take advantage of some free time to stroll through the streets and acquaint yourself with this vibrant African city. Don't miss a visit to the Kazuri Bead Centre, where exquisitely crafted beads are meticulously handmade. Immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere of the workshop and admire the skill of the local women artisans. After a fulfilling exploration, return to your accommodation in Nairobi for some well-deserved relaxation and a delightful farewell dinner. Today's travel spans a total of 280 kilometers, with three meals provided: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 15 Nairobi-Kenya

The unforgettable East African Safari across Kenya and Tanzania draws to a close in Nairobi following your morning meal. Subsequently, you will be accompanied to the airport for your onward journey, carrying cherished memories of this extraordinary experience with you. Meal provided: Breakfast.
