Today marks our departure from Masai Mara as we journey towards Lake Naivasha National Park, arriving at its picturesque shores by midday. Nestled in the Great Rift Valley, this freshwater lake is a sanctuary to diverse wildlife, including hippos, cranes, pelicans, and various bird species. The region is renowned for its flourishing flower farming industry, with abundant roses exported to Europe.

In the afternoon, you'll have the opportunity to engage in leisurely activities. Embark on a serene boat tour across the lake, ideal for birdwatching enthusiasts. Alternatively, opt for a leisurely stroll around the lodge grounds, take a refreshing dip in the pool, immerse yourself in a good book, or indulge in a rejuvenating nap. It's the perfect chance to recharge before your next wildlife expedition.

Tonight, we'll lodge at Naivasha Sopa Lodge (or similar), where you can explore the expansive grounds and keep a lookout for resident animals such as giraffes, waterbucks, and zebras. Additionally, you'll be treated to breakfast, lunch, and dinner during your stay.

Today, as part of our Kenya Budget Safari, we embark on a scenic journey southward to the renowned Amboseli National Park. With favorable conditions, we aim to catch a glimpse of the snow-capped peak of Uhuru atop Kilimanjaro.

This expansive park is home to vast herds of majestic elephants, often spotted amidst the Acacia trees. Making the most of our time in Amboseli, we embark on an afternoon safari in a 4x4 with an open-air roof, allowing us to marvel at African wildlife in their natural habitat.

The sparse vegetation, characteristic of the long dry season, makes Amboseli one of the prime locations to witness the African Big Five: elephant, Cape buffalo, impala, lion, cheetah, spotted hyena, Masai giraffe, Grant's zebra, and blue wildebeest. This setting offers an extraordinary backdrop of birds, animals, and the imposing Kilimanjaro, solidifying Amboseli's rank just behind Masai Mara as one of Kenya's top national parks!

For the next two nights, we find respite at Satao Elerai Camp (or similar), boasting a private waterhole bustling with wildlife. Here, we can immerse ourselves in the splendor of the wilderness while indulging in the comforts of camp life. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all included for our stay.

Let's embark on a full day of exploration into Amboseli National Park, renowned for its abundant elephant population and diverse wildlife. Our safari guide provides us with insights into their intricate social behaviors as we observe the herd in motion.

The dry climate of Amboseli finds balance through underground water from the melting snow cap of Kilimanjaro. This water percolates through volcanic rock, giving rise to two springs within the park that flourish, particularly during the rainy season.

Amboseli boasts five distinct habitats, including both wet and dry environments like the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, sulfur springs, savannahs, and woodlands. As day six of our Kenya Budget Safari draws to a close, we return to Satao Elerai Camp (or similar). A perfect conclusion to the day awaits with sundowners on the terrace, offering a breathtaking view of Mt Kilimanjaro in neighboring Tanzania, followed by a sumptuous dinner at the camp. After an extraordinary journey exploring three of Kenya's finest national parks, a visit to Tsavo West National Park promises to be a breathtaking experience. Its diverse range of habitats presents an opportunity to encounter a wealth of wildlife, from hippos and lions to rhinos and buffalos, all set against the backdrop of stunning Acacia woodlands and grasslands.

For a panoramic view of the thriving herds below, Poacher's Lookout stands as an ideal vantage point. Frequented by cheetahs, leopards, and the elusive Hunter's hartebeest, the park beckons enthusiasts of all kinds to explore its boundless wonders.

As the day draws to a close, Severin Safari Camp (or similar) provides a tranquil sanctuary amidst the rugged wilderness. Indulge in breakfast, lunch, and dinner amid the splendor of the African wilderness!

On the final day of our Budget Safari in Kenya, we bid farewell to the wealth of wildlife that has accompanied us throughout the week. Following breakfast at the safari lodge, we embark on a leisurely drive to Diani Beach - a tropical haven boasting 13 kilometers of shoreline adorned with pristine white sands and lofty palm trees.

Having acquired a wealth of knowledge about African safaris from our guide and through observations in diverse and exotic environments, it's now time to unwind and enjoy some well-deserved relaxation. If needed, your guide can drop you off at your post-safari hotel, or you can opt for direct transportation to the airport.
