With over four hundred recorded bird species, including Boehm's Bee-eater, Bateleur Eagle, and African Fish Eagle, there's plenty to discover. After an exhilarating day of exploration, we retire to the tranquil setting of Tan Swiss Lodge for a serene evening.

On the third day of our exclusive Tanzania expedition, we embark on a scenic five-hour journey from Mikumi to Ruaha National Park. Spanning a vast area of 320 kilometers (200 miles), this drive offers a captivating glimpse into the expansive landscapes of Ruaha. With a sprawling expanse of 20,226 square kilometers (7,809 square miles), Ruaha boasts grassy plains and gentle hilltops adorned with iconic acacia and baobab trees.

This remote region provides a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, allowing travelers to immerse themselves in the untamed beauty of the African bush. Ruaha is celebrated for its rich diversity of predators, including thriving populations of lions, cheetahs, and African wild dogs, alongside abundant leopards, hyenas, and elephants. The park also shelters a plethora of wildlife, from buffalo, giraffe, and zebra to hippopotamus, impala, and various antelope species.

Furthermore, Ruaha's unique blend of eastern and southern vegetation zones offers a sanctuary for rare antelopes such as sable, roan, greater, and lesser kudu, alongside common species like bushbuck, eland, and Grant's gazelle. For two nights, we will be hosted at a comfortable mobile camp nestled within the heart of the national park, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the unspoiled essence of a Tanzanian safari. Throughout our journey, we will savor delicious, all-inclusive meals and experience the genuine warmth of African hospitality.

Today marks our departure from the rugged wilderness of Ruaha as we journey towards an organic smallholding nestled near Morogoro. Upon arrival, we will immerse ourselves in the tranquil ambiance of the farm, embarking on a captivating tour of its grounds. Here, amidst fields of hibiscus, chili peppers, and an array of spices, we will gain insight into sustainable farming practices while sampling homemade delicacies such as hibiscus jam and soothing herbal teas.

As the day unfolds, we will delve deeper into the pristine environment, discovering the rich tapestry of flora and fauna that thrives within. For our final evening, we will retire to spacious guesthouses offering panoramic vistas of the majestic Uluguru Mountains, evoking the timeless allure of the iconic film 'Out of Africa'. Our accommodation awaits at Mbuyuni Farm Retreat (or similar), where delectable meals are provided, ensuring a memorable experience complete with breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Following breakfast, indulge in a leisurely final walk through the serene surroundings of our Private Tanzania Safari or savor a refreshing dip in the pool to relish the last moments of our unforgettable journey.
