In some areas it is quite heavily wooded, especially with grass like elephant grass and acacia woodlands. Elephant density in Tarangire National Park is one of the highest in Tanzania in comparison to other national parks. Its vegetation is sparse with acacia trees and baobab DOT this venue makes Senegal a superb and unique tourist attraction. Following these animals are many predators like the lions and leopards. Serengeti is probably the most widely recognized wildlife centre in the whole world, unparalleled in terms of scenery and research importance. It has the largest population of plains game in Africa. It is the migration for which Serengeti is perhaps most well-known for. Some animals, such as over one million wildebeest and two hundred thousand zebras migrate from the northern region of Serengeti to the southern area for the short rains between the months of October and November. They then move in a westerly and northerly direction during the long rains in April and May. Such is the survival instinct that even the worst of conditions, such as a drought, a gorge, or crocodile infested river, cannot deter them. Serengeti should be understood as the place where the Great Wildebeest Migration actually takes place. This is where all those who are interested in experiencing the real African safari come to find it. In the evening, you will check into your lodge for lunch and overnight at Embalakai Camp.

Tanzania’s Serengeti is home to one of the most impressive herds of clue and is famous for the awe-inspiring circus – the Great Migration. Each year, over a million wildebeest and approximately 200,000 zebras journey south from the northern hills to the southern plains during the short rains in October and November. …which again move up in the west and north by April and May when long rains start. This speculative migration is a result of an impulse so forceful that even drought, predators and dangerous rivers are not capable of stopping them. Serengeti region is one of the prime and most spectacular places that offers an up, close view and feel of the African wildlife. Late in the afternoon, we will get to your lodge where you will have a good meal and spend the night at Embalakai Camp.
