3-Day Safari Trip to Awash National Park

You will have breakfast at a convenient place in Addis Ababa upon your arrival at Bole International Airport. After breakfast you will proceed on a pleasant drive to Awash National Park situated in the Great Rift Valley region. While on your trip, do not lose sight of the beautiful sceneries that are around you.

When you get to the park, you will be met by the professional safari guide who will brief you on the events of the day and caution you on do’s and don’ts of the wild. During the afternoon your game watching excitement will commence with a game drive through Various ecosystems of the park. If lucky, you might spot zebras, oryx, kudu, gazelles, or even the Swayne’s Hartbeest which is an endangered species.

Your day will begin with an early morning game drive watching the sunrise over the park’s vegetation, waking up the animals.

During this drive watch out for the early morning predators such as lions, cheetahs, leopards and hyenas preparing to go on the prowl. Then at noon we will be taken back to our lodge/ hotel to have our lunch and take a little rest.

During the afternoon you will also be taken for a nature walk and bird watching exercise.

Then comes a night safari that you will be able to see some noctural animals like genets, civets, bush babies e.t.c For dinner you will be taken back to the camp where we will hear about the safari experience around the camp fire before retiring to our comfortable lodgings.

In the morning after breakfast you will visit the Awash River Falls to see water tumbling through the plunge pools of the great gorge. After that you will go around the area near the river and do bird watching exercises along the river side.

During lunch, you will visit a village near the park particularly the Awash National Park . This will enable you to experience traditional lifestyles of the indigenous people, engage the locals and understand their culture.

In the evening, you will depart from Awash National Park back to Addis Ababa, with a memorable safari experience behind you. You will be coming back to Addis Ababa in the evening after 3 days wildlife viewing in Awash National Park.
