This exclusive tour can be tailored to suit your needs, but all wildlife activities will still be shared with other guests. If availability allows, you can begin this tour any day, though solo travelers must look elsewhere. Participants should also be aware that the minimum age for this journey is 16 years old. Accommodations include lodges and tented camps.

Getting There

Begin your journey in Entebbe, Uganda and finish it up in Moshi, Tanzania! This operator can help you select international flights, but you'll need to book them yourself. Get ready to fly from Entebbe Airport (EBB - Check price) and come home from Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO - Check price) which is nearby Moshi. A complimentary transfer from the airport and back is provided. If you'd like to stay extra days before or after the tour, accommodation can be arranged at an additional cost.

Tour Plan

Day 01 Arrival in uganda & Hotel transfer

Upon your arrival for your extended stay in Uganda, our representative and driver/guide will warmly welcome you.

Depending on your arrival time, you will either embark on a sightseeing tour of Kampala, which may include visits to the Kasubi Tombs, the Uganda Museum, and the African Craft Village, or proceed directly to the hotel for relaxation and relief from jet lag.

You will enjoy dinner and spend the night at Cassia Lodge.

Day 02 Transfer to Kibale forest national park

Embark on your adventure by indulging in a delicious breakfast before embarking on an exhilarating journey to western Uganda. En route to Kibale Forest, marvel at the captivating vistas of tea plantations, bustling village markets, and verdant hills that characterize the landscape of western Uganda.

Nestled south of Fort Portal, Kibale Forest is an expansive expanse of dense tropical rainforest. Renowned for harboring the highest concentration of primates on the African continent, the park offers diverse environments teeming with wildlife.

While trekking through the forest, keep an eye out for unique species such as the red colobus monkey and the black-and-white colobus monkey. Undoubtedly, the highlight of any visit to Kibale Forest is the opportunity to observe the entertaining antics of the chimpanzees.

Upon arrival, settle into the pre-arranged accommodation for a delightful dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 03 Chimpanzee trekking & Queen Elizabeth national park

In the morning, embark on an exhilarating excursion deep into Kibale Forest to observe the chimpanzees in their natural habitat.

Under the guidance of your expert guide, witness firsthand their fascinating behaviors, from grooming and playing to foraging for sustenance. Following this extraordinary experience, journey onwards to Queen Elizabeth National Park, nestled at the base of the awe-inspiring Rwenzori Mountains, adjacent to Lakes Edward and George.

Renowned for its diverse wildlife, the park is home to species such as gazelle, Uganda Kob, warthog, and waterbuck. With a stroke of luck, you may even catch sight of majestic lions! Conclude your day with an evening game drive, followed by a delectable dinner and a restful night at the lodge.

Day 04 Game drive & Boat cruise along the Kazinga channel

Wake up in the morning to embark on an exceptional game drive, offering glimpses of elephants, elands, antelopes, buffaloes, and lions in their natural habitat.

Upon returning to the lodge and indulging in lunch, venture out in the afternoon for a scenic excursion along the Kazinga Channel, which links Lake George and Lake Edward. This waterway is bustling with captivating wildlife, including crocodiles, hippos, waterbucks, buffaloes, and elephants gathering to drink or bathe, while the skies above are adorned with storks and kingfishers.

This unforgettable cruise promises to be one of the highlights of your visit. Afterward, return to the lodge for a delightful dinner and a peaceful night's rest.

Day 05 Transfer to Lake Mutanda

Today, set out on a journey to Kisoro, an enchanting village nestled near the borders of Rwanda and Congo. Traverse the winding roads that meander through lush rainforests, catching glimpses of the majestic volcanoes adorning the hilltops.

Explore the picturesque villages below and revel in the tranquility of Lake Mutanda. Marvel at the breathtaking vistas from Mutanda Lake Resort, perched on a peninsula overlooking the lake's dotted islands and the mist-shrouded Virunga Range mountains in the distance.

Gorilla tracking is a highlight in the southern reaches of Bwindi Forest and promises an unforgettable experience not to be missed!

Day 06 Gorilla trekking in Bwindi forest

Following an early morning meal, you'll be escorted to the park headquarters for a comprehensive briefing on gorilla trekking. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda offers a captivating experience, boasting a unique combination of mountain gorillas and chimpanzees, a rarity among African forests.

In addition to the five primate species, the park is home to over 200 species of butterflies, 360 species of birds, and 113 species of mammals. Depending on the gorillas' whereabouts, the tracking adventure can range from one to eight hours.

Encountering these gentle giants for just an hour leaves a profound and emotional impression. As the day draws to a close, you'll return to your lodge to savor dinner and spend the night, reflecting on the day's extraordinary experiences.

Day 07 Optional activities at Lake Mutanda, Transfer to Kigali

Dedicate a day to exploring the optional activities arranged by the lodge. Consider embarking on a climb up one of the Virunga Volcanoes or experiencing a Batwa trail or Golden Monkey tracking adventure in Mgahinga National Park.

Upon reaching your destination, take time to explore one of the bustling craft markets in Kigali. Here, you'll discover a myriad of items including pottery, carvings, batik, weaving, sculpture, musical instruments, leather goods, and fabrics.

Be sure to engage in some friendly haggling if you're seeking a great bargain! Once you've completed your shopping excursion, transfer back to the lodge for a delightful dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 08 Transfer to Tanzania (Kilimanjaro Airport)

After waking up and preparing for the day, your hotel's chauffeur will escort you to catch your Rwandair flight bound for Kilimanjaro airport.

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, a Tanzanian driver will be ready to greet you and provide transportation to the splendid lodge where you'll be residing. The lodge features a stunning garden and an enticing swimming pool.

Indulge in a delightful dinner at the lodge and make yourself comfortable for the night ahead.

Day 09 Lake Manyara National Park

Tanzania is renowned for the warmth and hospitality of its people, making it a memorable destination for visitors. Today, travelers have the chance to immerse themselves in the rich culture and welcoming spirit of the locals during a trip to Mto Wa Mbu.

A leisurely stroll through the village offers insights into rural life in Tanzania, providing glimpses of farms, schools, bustling markets, and serene churches. Visitors can marvel at the intricate wood carving and tribal painting techniques of the Makonde tribe, and witness the traditional process of brewing banana and millet beer, known as “Mbege”, by the Chagga tribe.

In the afternoon, an exploration of Lake Manyara National Park awaits. Despite its smaller size compared to other parks in the northern circuit, Lake Manyara National Park offers a plethora of captivating sights. Visitors can spot zebra, baboon, warthog, giraffe, impala, elephant, hippo, wildebeest, and the elusive tree-climbing lions.

Day 10 Serengeti National Park

No trip to Tanzania is truly complete without a visit to one of the world's most iconic safari destinations: Serengeti National Park. This remarkable park boasts the largest concentration of wildlife on Earth and encompasses a thriving, pristine ecosystem.

True to its Maasai name, "Serengeti" meaning "endless plains", the park offers expansive vistas that stretch as far as the eye can see, leaving an indelible impression on visitors. To conclude your safari adventure, you'll spend the night at the Mbali Mbali Soroi Serengeti, adding a touch of luxury to your Serengeti experience.

Day 11 Full day game drive in Serengeti NP

As the morning breaks, you awaken early to embark on a full-day safari adventure in the awe-inspiring Serengeti, with your packed lunch ready. Today's expedition will lead you through the renowned Seronera Valley, renowned for its abundance of big cats including lions, leopards, and cheetahs.

Day 13 Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport
