Begin your journey in Moshi and make your own arrangements for international flights to and from Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO). A transfer to and from the airport is included in the cost. Should you wish to, additional pre and post tour accommodation can be arranged at an extra charge. The tour ends in Moshi.
Your day begins with a journey into the enchanting Mkomazi National Park, situated north of Kenya's vast Tsavo National Park. From here, you'll marvel at the breathtaking vistas of Mount Kilimanjaro in the northwest and the Pare and Usambara Mountains to the south. In the wet season, Mkomazi becomes a haven for migratory herds of elephant, oryx, and zebra.
Renowned as one of the globe's pivotal protected ecosystems, Mkomazi shelters its own sanctuary dedicated to black rhinoceros conservation, along with a program for breeding African wild dogs, making it a haven cherished by animal enthusiasts. Amidst its rich biodiversity, expect to encounter giraffe, eland, hartebeest, buffalo, and the distinctive long-necked gerenuk. For bird enthusiasts, the park offers an abundance of over 450 species, including vulturine guinea fowl, ostriches, kori bustards, secretary birds, and ground hornbills, ensuring an unforgettable experience for all nature lovers.
After savoring your breakfast, your hotel pick-up will usher you to Materuni Village. Just a scenic 40-minute drive away lies a breathtaking waterfall, where your guide will unravel tales of the Chagga culture, village life, and the diverse fauna and flora enveloping the area. If luck favors you, catch a glimpse of Kilimanjaro's majestic summit! Upon reaching the waterfall, prepare to be mesmerized by its impressive 80-meter descent.

Before bidding adieu, bask in the panoramic view of the rainforest while indulging in delicious coffee. Afterwards, your journey continues with a transfer to JRO.
