Spend two days exploring the wonders of Saadani National Park! on a Budget 2-Day Saadani' National Park + Boat Safari. You'll be able to witness herds of buffalo, elephant and a variety of bird species. On this journey you will use a pop-up open roof land cruiser, travelling along tarmac roads for up to five hours. Lunch will be served en route, with your safari beginning at 05:00 AM. The best time of year for an unforgettable experience is from June to January, though be aware that some game drives may not be possible if it rains during this period.

Begin your journey to Dar es Salaam and take off from Julius Nyerere Airport (DAR). Customize your experience with an option to arrange transfers back and forth from the airport (extra fee applies). Accommodation before and after the tour can also be arranged (extra fee applies). The tour will conclude back in Dar es Salaam.
Be prepared to depart from your Dar es Salaam hotel at 5:00 AM for a scenic drive to Saadani National Park via the Bagamoyo road, which typically takes about three to four hours.
Pack a picnic lunch for your afternoon game drive in the park, where the wilderness meets the shoreline, making Saadani National Park a truly unique destination. The game drive will continue until lunchtime at 1:00 PM. Then, at 4:30 PM, set out on a captivating boat safari along the Wami River, offering ample opportunities to observe hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of marine and riverine birds, including the mangrove kingfisher and lesser flamingo.
Moreover, Saadani is one of the few remaining major green turtle breeding sites on the Tanzanian mainland. Following the boat safari, indulge in dinner and spend the night at Saadani Bandas, where a full board meal plan awaits you.
Following breakfast at the hotel, prepare for an exciting game drive across the park! Guests often encounter herds of up to thirty elephants more frequently, while prides of lions and leopards are commonly sighted.
Moreover, a variety of grazers, primates, and other wildlife can be observed, including buffalo, warthog, common waterbuck, reedbuck, hartebeest, wildebeest, red duiker, greater kudu, eland, sable antelope, yellow baboon, vervet monkey, spotted hyena, and black-backed jackal.
At 11 AM, you'll journey back to Dar es Salaam with a lunch stop along the way, marking the conclusion of your adventure!
