This mid-priced trip is perfect for independent travelers and can be tailored to your specific needs. With the option of beginning on any day, accommodations in lodges, and travel options catering to all ages, this private experience will be customized just for you.
This trip begins and ends in Nairobi, with international flights bookable through Exodus Safaris. Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) can be used for arrival/departure. Complimentary transfer between the airport and tour start/end points are included. If you wish, additional accommodation before and after the tour can be sourced for a fee.
You will make your way to Amboseli National Park by either taking the Mombasa Road onto Emali-Loitokitok or the Mombasa Road onto Namanga Road for smooth and safe tarmac roads.
Once there, you'll have a chance to unwind with a tasty lunch before going on an afternoon safari. This national park is located south of Nairobi and is made up of mostly dry lake beds and grassland, interspersed with sparse patches of acacia woodlands and a few small volcanic hills.
When the rain season comes around, the area is lush and green, and you can spot yellow-barked acacias, phoenix palms, and a variety of herbivores grazing nearby. Carnivores are also likely to be present, looking out for their next meal.
After a day full of adventure, you'll stay at the AA Lodge Amboseli for dinner and an overnight stay.
Begin your Kilimanjaro Balloon Safari Experience with an early morning pick up from AA Lodge and transfer to the Ballon Camp. After check-in, you'll be greeted by the captain and given a briefing about all the safety measures for the journey.
When ready, you'll take off into the skies and look out as you fly over Mt. Kilimanjaro to the south and Amboseli to the North. After the flight, you'll be presented with a Commemorative Flight Ascension Certificate signed by the captain as a special memento. In the afternoon, you'll go on a game drive and later visit the nearby Masai village.
Finally, dinner and overnight stay back at the camp complete the experience.
Let's start the day with a hearty breakfast, followed by a morning game drive. Once we arrive in Nairobi, we'll take a break to enjoy a meal and then, depending on your preference, be transported back to the airport or hotel.
