Good morning! Your adventure begins now! We'll collect you from your Arusha hotel at 9:00 am sharp and whisk you away to Tarangire National Park, a true Tanzanian treasure sprawling over 2,850 sq km (1,005 sq miles)!
Prepare for incredible game viewing opportunities as we explore the park, where sightings may include lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, pythons, zebras, oryx, and much more! Keep your eyes peeled for the park's impressive birdlife, boasting over 450 species. After a thrilling day of game drives and picnics, we'll return to our camp or lodge for a delicious dinner and a peaceful night's sleep.
Rise and shine, and hit the road by 8 am for an adventure at Lake Manyara National Park, nestled at the foot of the Great Rift Valley. Encompassing a vast 330 square kilometers or 127 square miles, this park is a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts, boasting a rich array of lions, hippos, elephants, zebras, buffalo, giraffes, baboons, blue and vervet monkeys, and warthogs.
For bird enthusiasts, the park is a haven, hosting over 350 bird species. With five distinct vegetation zones, visitors are treated to a varied landscape of flora and fauna. Keep your eyes peeled for vibrant flocks of flamingos. For an added thrill, consider canoeing in the park for a nominal fee.
After an exciting day, unwind with a delightful dinner and retire for the night at a cozy campsite or lodge.
Start your day with an early morning breakfast, then set off at 07:30 for an exhilarating drive to Ngorongoro, where you'll descend into the colossal crater. This awe-inspiring prehistoric formation spans 19.2 kilometers in diameter, plunges 610 meters deep, and covers an area of 304 square kilometers - a remarkable natural marvel. Within its depths, discover a diverse array of approximately 25,000 creatures, including black rhinos, elephants, zebras, wildebeests, buffalos, and impalas.
Keep your eyes peeled for numerous carnivores such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, and smaller cats. At lunchtime, stop by the picnic site at Ngoitoktok swamp and its hippo pool, then continue with afternoon game viewing as you ascend from the crater.
In the late afternoon, journey back to Arusha or Moshi for a well-deserved night's rest.
