Don't miss the opportunity to join a Sun downer Cruise at 16h00 this evening, hosted on the signature deck of either the Zambezi Explorer or Ra-Ikane vessels. The Ra-Ikane boats, named after the young African boy Lazarus Ra-Ikane who guided David Livingstone during his Zambezi River explorations in 1855, offer a unique connection to history. Guests will be picked up from Victoria Falls and transported to Chobe National Park at 7:30 am. Upon arrival, a guide will meet the group and assist with completing Immigration formalities at Kazungula. A safety briefing will follow for all guests, after which check-in will be arranged at Cresta Mowana Safari Resort and Spa.
At 09:30 am, the group will embark on a three-hour boat ride into the renowned Chobe National Park. Following disembarkation, the tour will pause at Coffee Buzz for a light lunch. Before departing the area, guests have the opportunity to procure any additional items they may need from the shops in Kasane, as there are no shops within the park itself.
In the evening, guests can enjoy a game drive in Chobe National Park, renowned for its vast population of elephants, estimated to number around 50,000. Notably, Kalahari elephants, characterized by their large size and brittle ivory tusks resulting from calcium deficiency in the local soils, are frequently sighted in the park.
