Embark on your 5-day Safari adventure starting in Arusha and ending in Moshi. This once-in-a-lifetime tour package features the best of Tanzania, allowing you to explore Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. All accommodation and transportation is taken care of, including a knowledgeable guide, meals and more. Enjoy the incredible sights Tanzania has to offer and make memories that will last a lifetime.
After indulging in a hearty breakfast, your driver/guide will be eagerly awaiting your presence at your hotel to escort you to Tarangire National Park for an exhilarating game drive. The park boasts captivating scenery, including a small Serengeti plain and the Tarangire River, which draws wildlife during the dry season. Its landscape predominantly features Acacia woodland, adorned with magnificent African Baobab trees, along with expansive swampy areas to the south.
Tarangire National Park is renowned for hosting some of the largest elephant herds on the continent. Besides these majestic creatures, the park is also home to three rare species - the Greater Kudu, Fringed-eared Oryx, and Ashy Starlings. While on your journey, keep your eyes peeled for sightings of Buffaloes, Zebras, Wildebeest, Giraffes, Lions, Cheetah, Leopards, Impalas, Gazelles, warthogs, and wild dogs.
For bird enthusiasts, the park boasts an impressive array of over 400 species of birds. During lunchtime, we'll make a delightful pause at a scenic picnic site to relish a delicious meal before continuing our drive until evening, when we'll retire to the camp for a restful overnight stay.
After enjoying a hearty breakfast, we bid farewell to Tarangire and embark on our journey to Serengeti National Park. The route takes us through the picturesque Karatu highlands and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Soon, we find ourselves immersed in the heart of wild Africa, surrounded by the expansive Serengeti plains stretching as far as the eye can see.
Upon reaching the central area of the park, known as Seronera, we are greeted by abundant wildlife. The Seronera River, a lifeline for many species, flows through this region, providing essential sustenance. As we arrive around lunchtime, we take a short break before embarking on an afternoon game drive to explore the rich biodiversity of Serengeti.
Today marks the beginning of your Serengeti safari adventure. The specific route we take may vary depending on the movements of the migrating animals, as predators often follow their prey. Typically, herds migrate from the northern hills to the southern plains during the short rains of November and December. During the longer wet season from April to June, they return to central Serengeti.
From July to October, the wildebeests and zebras roam the North Serengeti. Their movements coincide with the rhythm of the rains. However, your experienced tour guide will navigate you to prime locations where you can spot the Big Five. Lions, leopards, and cheetahs are among the many majestic creatures that roam the savanna landscape.
Following breakfast, we'll set out on a captivating game drive that extends until midday. Following this adventure, we'll journey 147 km (approximately 91 miles) to Ngorongoro for our overnight accommodations.
En route, we'll have the chance to witness traditional Maasai life, offering us insight into the daily experiences of these cultural communities within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Our evening will be spent at Simba Campsite, where dinner and lodging will be provided for the night.
This morning, we'll embark on a car journey to Ngorongoro National Park, covering a distance of 181.21 km with an estimated travel time of around 3 hours. The park is renowned for its rich concentration of predators, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and even leopards.
Additionally, it houses a diverse array of animal species such as wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, and majestic African elephants, making it an excellent destination for wildlife enthusiasts. Beyond the captivating fauna, the park's striking landscape and iconic caldera add a picturesque backdrop to your safari adventure.
Descending 600 meters into the crater, we'll embark on a half-day safari tour, followed by a delightful picnic lunch within the park. In the afternoon, we'll make our way back to Arusha. Your hotel accommodation includes a Bed & Breakfast basis.
