This tour is especially suitable for solo travelers and has a minimum age requirement of 1 year. It offers accommodation in both lodges and tented camps, and is customizable depending on guests' requests. Plus, if availability permits, it can start on any day!
Setting off from Nairobi, you can book your international flights to/from Jomo Kenyatta Airport (NBO -) and a transfer to/from the airport is included. If you wish, accommodation before and after the tour can be made available for an additional charge. The journey will end in Nairobi upon completion of the tour.
Upon disembarking from the plane at the airport, you'll be warmly welcomed by a representative from ExodusSafaris. Once you've completed immigration formalities, your guide will accompany you to your city hotel.
Upon reaching the hotel, proceed with the check-in process and settle into your room for some well-deserved rest. Your accommodation for the night will be at the Sarova Stanley Hotel.
After indulging in breakfast, embark on your journey to Mount Kenya, the second highest mountain in Africa, renowned for its tropical rainforest climate. Enjoy a leisurely drive through the park until you reach your camp or lodge in time for check-in and a satisfying lunch. Following lunch, set out on an afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru, nestled in the heart of the Rift Valley, primarily comprises the lake itself.
Situated amidst the Rift Valley, this park is home to a diverse array of species, including Rothschild Giraffes, Lions, White and Black Rhinos, and Leopards - all of which you may encounter depending on your luck!
Bird enthusiasts will also delight in the abundance of both Greater and Lesser Flamingoes that have made this lake their habitat. Conclude the evening with a delightful dinner and spend the night at Flamingo Hill Tented Camp.
After breakfast at the lodge, head south and veer right at Maai Mahiu to ascend the Mau Escarpment. Narok, the gateway to the Maasai Mara and the regional headquarters, lies in the distance.
Upon arrival at your camp, check-in and enjoy a satisfying lunch. Embark on an afternoon game drive in the expansive 1,792 sq. km game park, characterized by rolling hills, savannahs, and gallery forests along the Mara River and its tributaries. Encounter a variety of herbivores including elephants, rhinoceroses, buffaloes, Masai giraffes, Burchell zebras, and a diverse array of antelopes.
