Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you'll be warmly welcomed by our service representative who will escort you to Mount Meru Game Lodge & Sanctuary in Arusha.
Nestled at the foot of Mount Meru, this charming lodge was formerly a refuge for several rescued wild animals.
Shortly after settling in, a safari manager will meet with you to deliver a comprehensive briefing about the safari. Following the briefing, take the chance to enjoy the various amenities offered by the lodge.
After relishing a delightful breakfast at the lodge, your experienced safari guide will be waiting for you in the lobby, officially inaugurating your 10-day Tanzania honeymoon safari and Zanzibar beach holiday.
As you journey towards Arusha city, feel free to request any last-minute stops from your driver. From Arusha, your adventure continues to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its remarkable elephant populations, unmatched anywhere else on the planet.
Nestled at the foothills of the Great Rift Valley, the park boasts low-lying hills and expansive acacia woodlands. Here, you'll have the opportunity to witness a diverse array of wildlife, including elephants, buffalos, zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, hippos, lions, leopards, hyenas, and jackals.
Tarangire also serves as the ideal habitat for three rare species: the Greater Kudu, fringe-eared Oryx, and the ash stalling. With over 400 recorded bird species, including ostriches, secretary birds, ibises, herons, and pelicans, the park offers a birdwatcher's paradise.
Following an exhilarating day of exploration, you'll head to Ngorongoro Coffee Lodge for dinner. En route, take a moment to pause and admire the breathtaking sunset over Lake Manyara and its surrounding forest.
After enjoying breakfast, get ready to depart for Ngorongoro Crater and indulge in an unforgettable game viewing experience. The drive takes you through the picturesque high-lying farmlands of Karatu all the way to the Ngorongoro gate.
Upon completing all park formalities, head to the Ngorongoro Crater viewpoint and take some time to admire the breathtaking views of the crater floor before descending 600 meters for the game drive.
A packed lunch will be served at the crater floor. Ngorongoro Crater, often hailed as the 8th natural wonder of the world, was formed millions of years ago due to internal forces. Following eruption, the central part subsided, leaving behind 600-meter-high walls.
It stands as the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world and serves as a natural sanctuary for some of Africaās most densely populated animal species. This is an ideal location to observe the rare black rhino in its natural habitat. Alongside them, expect to encounter herds of wildebeest, buffalo, zebra, eland, hippos, and African elephants.
Rise and shine early to depart from the camp with a picnic breakfast and lunch, embarking on an exhilarating early morning game drive in the renowned Serengeti National Park. This African safari favorite and UNESCO World Heritage Site abound with wildlife.
As you journey, keep a lookout for cats evading the morning dew and nocturnal predators returning from a night of hunting. You might chance upon a pride of lionesses strategizing a morning ambush. Pause for breakfast in the bush, where you can witness the Great Wildebeest Migration (depending on travel dates) and observe fascinating animal behaviors including fighting, feeding, and hunting.
Stay vigilant for herds of elephants, buffaloes, topis, and hippos. Revel in the serene sunset before returning to the camp for dinner and overnight stay. If you're feeling adventurous, consider experiencing a Serengeti Balloon Safari during your stay.
On the sixth day of your honeymoon safari, you have the flexibility to spend the morning at your leisure or opt for a game drive until 10:00 am.
Following this, you will be chauffeured to the Seronera airstrip to catch your flight to Zanzibar departing at 11:05 hours.
Upon arrival, our representative will be there to greet you and accompany you to the Sunshine Hotel Zanzibar. Nestled in the serene Matemwe Beach on the northeastern side of the island, this idyllic retreat offers the perfect setting for dinner and an overnight stay.
