Tour Plan

Day 01 Arrive Tanzania

Best Safari Parks and Game Reserves Near Dar Es Salaam

Upon leaving the baggage area and passing through customs, you will be greeted by your safari guide who will take you to your hotel for the night. Throughout your expedition, this individual will be your reliable tour guide and driver.

Day 02 Transfer to Lake Manyara

Begin your Tanzanian journey this morning by heading towards Lake Manyara National Park in search of wild animals. Keep your eyes peeled for the rare tree climbing lion or try to catch a glimpse of a leopard's tail during the journey to Migunga Forest Camp.

Day 03 Onwards to Lake Natron

Head up north this morning and experience a unique opportunity to observe the way locals live. With the help of a local guide, explore markets, see rice fields, visit banana plantations, and even sample locally-made banana beer! Get to know the artisans and carpenters in the streets and find yourself the perfect piece of art to take home. Embark on this journey and discover the customs and culture of Mto Wa Mbu, Tanzania.

Day 04 Lake Natron

This morning, meet your Maasai guide who will accompany you during this day. Afterwards, go for a walk or drive to experience the landscape surrounding the singular Lake Natron. Home to millions of flamingos, it's a mystical soda lake in the Rift Valley escarpment.

Depending on the season, today you have the opportunity to visit a nearby clinic and school before stopping for a refreshment at Rehema's place. As you do, take in the surrounding views of Ol Dointo L'Engai, the world's only existing active carbonite volcano. Then take a walk to a waterfall close by.

The route to the falls usually runs during the dry season and may change depending on the weather. Spend some leisure time at the camp in between or after any optional tours. With luck, you might even get to observe a family of giraffes passing by!

Day 05 Serengeti National Park

Get ready for an early morning departure to a Maasai boma, where you will observe the daily rituals of the locals, such as milking cows. Following that, savor your last meal at camp before beginning your exploration of the renowned Serengeti. Also known as "srinetu," which translates to "endless plains" in Maasai language, this incredible safari zone is home to over one million wildebeest, 200,000 zebra, and 300,000 Thomson's gazelles every year during their annual migration.

Day 06 Serengeti National Park

Embark on a remarkable journey in the Serengeti, with an opportunity to explore one of the oldest and most undisturbed ecosystems in the world. Trek across flourishing grasslands, stoic tree-covered hills, unusual termite mounds and rocky kopjes with acacia trees along riversides. Depending on the season, travelers in this area can witness the Wildebeest migration taking place between December and July, or be surrounded by a multitude of predators from June to October.
For those wanting to take their experience to the next level, hot air balloon rides are now available for the perfect morning sightseeing of the Serengeti. Contact us for details regarding scheduling and pricing of this unique adventure!

Day 07 Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater

Tanzania Holiday Packages

Please let us know if you have any interest in this extraordinary experience.

Day 08 Ngorongoro Crater

Explore the depths of the Ngorongoro Crater for a six hour journey. Spanning nearly 100 square miles, this caldera is home to some 20,000 animals, including Tanzania's last remaining black rhinos. Here you can observe 40,000 Maasai pastoralists and their cattle, goats, and sheep living in harmony with nature and wildlife, providing a unique glimpse into how humans and animals existed in ancient times.

If you are interested in learning more about the earliest signs of mankind, you can choose to add on a visit to the Oldupai Gorge. Here, footprints preserved in volcanic rock have been dated back 3.6 million years. After your exploration here, return to Tarangire Safari Lodge for your final night in Tanzania.

Day 09 Depart from Tanzania

Bid farewell to your newfound friends as you journey back to Arusha to catch a plane, or choose to continue your vacation by adding an extension to Mount Kilimanjaro or a Zanzibar getaway while traveling through Tarangire National Park.
