Join us for a delightful journey up the slopes of Kilimanjaro, where you can relish the breathtaking vistas that unfold along the southwestern side. As we proceed, we'll catch sight of the Lava Tower and reach the end of the Western Breach.

Our challenging ascent up the eastern face of the mountain leads us to the base of the Heim Glacier, offering breathtaking vistas of Kilimanjaro. From here, we continue toward the steep incline of the Great Barranco Wall and proceed toward the southern face of Kibo.
Descending the steep slopes brings us into the Karanga Valley, an austere alpine landscape of sand and dust. Here, we may pause for a delightful midday meal. Ascending from the Karanga Valley, we enjoy an easy walk on a compacted sand path, providing stunning views of the surrounding Karanga terrain.
Finally, we arrive at Barafu Camp, offering views of both Kibo Peak and Mawenzi Peak. Here, we rest and prepare for the impending summit attempt before an early bedtime. The journey from Barranco Camp to Barafu Camp (4,600m) typically takes anywhere from 7 to 9 hours.
As the darkness envelops the mountain, you'll awaken before dawn, ready to embark on a challenging ascent. Our journey will take us up steep volcanic slopes, navigating through zigzagging pathways until we reach Stella Point, perched at an elevation of 5,735 meters.
At Stella Point, we pause briefly to admire the sunrise illuminating the Mawenzi peak, a reward for our perseverance. For those still determined, a cautious two-hour trek leads to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m), the highest point in Africa. Take a moment to reflect on your achievement before beginning the rapid descent to Barafu Camp, with a brief stop for rejuvenation.
Our descent continues until we reach Mweka Camp, marking the end of a 13-15 hour journey from Barafu to the summit and back to lower altitudes.
Join us for a relaxed walk through the lush rainforest to Mweka Gate, where climbers will receive well-deserved certifications upon completing the ascent. Following a celebratory lunch at Mweka Gate, we'll drive back to Moshi for dinner and an overnight stay.
