Day 01 :

Kigali-Volcanoes National Park

When you get to Rwanda, you will be picked up from Kigali Airport and driven straight to the lodge. If you are arriving in the late evening, you will have to come in a day early having to spend a layover in Kigali. Please let us know if they should be added to the tour for overnight. You will be picked from the airport in a car and driven to the lodge. You will check in and gorge, take a stroll in the gardens, and appreciate the natural scenery from time to time. Extra activities that you may purchase include the coffee tour, chocolate and wine tour or biking around the lodge on the bikes that are available for hire. Breakfast is included and you will be having early dinner in preparation for tomorrow’s trek.

Day 02 :

Encounter with the Gorillas in Volcanoes National Park

You will wake up early to be at the park headquarters for the briefing before the other park visitors wake up. Different groups are being distributed by the park rangers there. Today, you will embark on the most exciting journey to see the mountain gorillas. How long you will be hiking depends with the location of the gorillas depending on the area that you are in. To emphasize the conservation of the gorillas once you spot it, you will only be allowed to observe it for one hour and not more. This is where you will be able to witness young apes having playful interactions, females having their babies, and the dominant male, the silverback, guarding the pod. You will end in this area and after that take your car back to the lodge. The rest of the day is spent at leisure, however meals will be provided for the guests including lunch and dinner at the lodge.

NB: This is a wildlife experience that may be affected by the weather and the movement of the gorillas.

Day 03 :

Transfer to Kigali International Airport

You will be provided with breakfast before you leave early in the morning. Today we will use the car to transport you back to Kigali Airport in order to board your flight out (the flight should not be an early one in order to have enough time for the drive from Volcanoes national park, Rwanda). Depending on your desire, you can fly back home or contact us to continue your experience.
