Begin your day by traveling from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park, a reserve that ranks as the fourth-largest in Tanzania and is conveniently close to the city. Explore the verdant Mkata Floodplain, often likened to the renowned Serengeti Plains. After lunch, embark on an exhilarating game drive, expecting to witness the incredible wildlife that Mikumi has to offer. As the late afternoon approaches, return to the lodge to relax and spend the night.

Embark on a journey to Ruaha National Park and indulge in an afternoon game drive! This vast ecosystem includes the Rungwa Game Reserve, Usangu Game Reserve, and several other reserves. Named after the majestic Ruaha River, which winds through its southeastern edges, the park offers excellent opportunities for game-viewing.

Ruaha National Park is renowned for its abundant elephant population, surpassing any other in East Africa. Moreover, within the Miombo woodlands, you can spot remarkable animals such as Kudu, Sable, Roan antelope, and more. The park is also home to endangered wild dogs, along with lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, elands, impalas, bat-eared foxes, and jackals.

Conclude your day with a visit to the Ruaha River Lodge, where you can enjoy dinner and a peaceful night's rest.

After enjoying your breakfast, you'll spend the next two days in Ruaha indulging in both morning and afternoon game drives. All your meals will be served at the lodge, and you'll return to the camp before sundown.

Encompassing more than 10,300 square kilometers, Ruaha National Park stands as the most visited national park in the southern region of Tanzania. Its expansive size offers ample space, unlike the bustling safari traffic often observed in the northern parks.

Positioned as a boundary between East and South African ecosystems, Ruaha National Park offers a splendid opportunity to spot kudus, rarely seen further north, as well as grant gazelles in their southernmost breeding area. The heartbeat of the park is undeniably the majestic Ruaha River, bustling with crocodiles and hippos.

After enjoying breakfast, we'll begin our journey to Mikumi National Park. Upon arrival, we'll proceed towards the Selous Game Reserve, situated to the south of Mikumi. By evening, we'll arrive at Vuma Hills Tented Camp, where we'll spend the night. Dinner will be served at the camp.

Following breakfast, our itinerary leads us to the Selous Game Reserve via Matemwe Gate. Departing from Morogoro, we'll transition from the paved road to traverse the stunning landscape of the Uluguru Mountains and rural villages.

Upon arrival, depending on our timing, we may embark on a short game drive or opt to relax at the lodge, preparing ourselves for a two-day safari expedition in this reserve.

The Selous Game Reserve stands as the largest wildlife conservation area in Africa, stretching across an expanse equivalent to the size of Switzerland when combined with the neighboring Mikumi and Udzungwa National Parks. The northern region of the reserve offers excellent opportunities for photo safaris and observing rare wildlife in its untouched habitat.

Home to approximately 400 bird species, navigating through the dense vegetation can present challenges when it comes to birdwatching. As evening approaches, make your way to your accommodation. Optional activities such as walking tours and boat trips are available for an additional fee.

Following a satisfying meal, we embark on a scenic journey towards the enchanting Indian Ocean through Mtemere Gate. As the day progresses towards noon, the vibrant city of Dar Es Salaam emerges on the horizon. Upon reaching our destination, you'll have the flexibility to arrange your transfer to either the airport or your chosen hotel according to your preferences.
