Upon your arrival at Kigali (Kanombe) International Airport, our guide warmly welcomes you, poised to accompany you on the journey to Ruhengeri and Kinigi nestled in the northern reaches of Rwanda. Following a scenic three-hour drive from the nation's capital, you'll arrive in Musanze—an enchanting city formerly known as Ruhengeri and renowned as one of Africa's premier destinations for encountering mountain gorillas.
As you traverse the countryside's rolling hills and verdant landscapes, you'll have the opportunity to relax and observe the rhythms of life unfolding around you, all while enjoying a delectable dinner. Both lunch and dinner are included in this experience for your utmost convenience and enjoyment.
Today presents an unparalleled opportunity—an adventure of tracking mountain gorillas in the Virunga Mountains of Rwanda. On the third day of our journey, we embark before dawn to search for golden monkeys within Volcanoes National Park (Parc National des Volcans). These elusive primates inhabit only the high-altitude bamboo forests of the park and are classified as endangered. Upon reaching one of the two populations, each boasting around 80 individuals, we marvel at their captivating movements as they frolic and leap among the treetops.
After refueling with lunch in Ruhengeri, we begin our southward journey to Kigali. The drive through the picturesque hills offers numerous opportunities to soak in the breathtaking Rwandan scenery. Following a few hours on the road, we arrive in Kigali and settle into our accommodations. Here, we unwind and indulge in dinner, concluding a delightful day in this beautiful country.
This experience includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner, ensuring a fully immersive and satisfying exploration of Rwanda.
