Our Budget Tanzania Safari commences with a concise tour briefing in Arusha, followed by our westward journey to explore the magnificent Lake Manyara National Park. Nestled amidst Tanzania's captivating wilderness, this compact park stands as one of the country's most enchanting natural reserves. Our scenic drive navigates through majestic landscapes, guiding us via the vibrant village of Mto wa Mbu and into the awe-inspiring Great Rift Valley.
In the afternoon, we venture into the breathtaking national park for an exhilarating game drive aboard an open-topped safari vehicle. Our quest includes seeking out the renowned tree-climbing lions, observing vast baboon troops, and encountering herds of elephants, including magnificent bull elephants adorned with impressive tusks. Along our safari, we may also chance upon buffalos, cheetahs, wildebeest, zebras, Masai giraffes, hippos, monkeys, and various antelope species. Descending toward the Serengeti Plains, we pass by the majestic Ngorongoro Crater. By midday, we venture into this remarkable wildlife sanctuary, encountering diverse habitats including grassy plains, savannahs, dense scrub, wetlands, and lakes. Notable are the distinctive rocky outcrops, known as 'kopjes,' dotting the plains and serving as habitats for a myriad of wildlife.
Depending on the season, you might witness the extraordinary Great Migration, where vast herds journey between the Serengeti and Masai Mara in Kenya. On the final day of our budget Tanzania Safari, we kickstart the morning with a hearty breakfast at our tented camp nestled on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. Our next adventure takes us on a thrilling descent into the crater aboard a 4x4 vehicle, promising an unforgettable wildlife expedition. As we traverse the steep crater walls, dense forests give way to sprawling savannas teeming with African wildlife, earning the crater its reputation as Africa's Garden of Eden.
