Enjoy an exclusive getaway with this distinguished luxury tour! This experience includes luxurious lodges and tented camps, and can be tailored to best fit your needs. However, bear in mind that certain wildlife viewing activities may need to be shared with other participants. If availability allows, you may begin this vacation on any given day - but it's not recommended for solo travelers, and the minimum age is 6 years old.
Book your own flights to/from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) in Nairobi when using this operator. A transfer to and from the airport will be provided with the tour. Accommodations before and after the tour are not included and must be arranged by the traveler. This tour will begin and conclude in Nairobi.
Nairobi is an exciting and dynamic city positioned 1870m above sea level. The downtown area is well-developed, efficient and organized.
Upon arriving at JKIA you can expect to be greeted a company representative who will take you to your hotel, and help with check-in. In the evening you will be welcomed to the capital with a dinner where you will be briefed about your safari.
After a delicious breakfast in Nairobi, head south to the picturesque Amboseli National Park, located in southern Kenya's semi-arid region. With its majestic views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the park offers a unique climate of hot and dry air due to an underground water supply filtered from kilometers of volcanic rock of Kilimanjaro's ice cap.
Before lunch, explore your safari camp at the heart of the park, rich with clear springs. After lunch, take your afternoon game drive where you may come face-to-face with Amboseli's famous elephants. These animals feature one of the oldest and most intact social structures of any elephant population on the continent.
Enjoy a nourishing breakfast before embarking on the trip to Nakuru by vehicle. Home to a vast number of flamingos, Lake Nakuru is one of the Rift Valley's "soda lakes". Once arrived, take an afternoon drive through the park and search for the abundant wildlife, including zebras, primates, and rhinos.
Or look for the rarer species such as black and white. While there are lots of animals to be seen in Nakuru, the main attraction is witnessing the thousands of flamingos that populate the lake.
At its peak, there were two million flamingos, yet recently the numbers have declined dramatically. Before sundown, head back to your accommodation and savor the included evening meal.
Embark on your journey to the Maasai Mara! A breathtaking view awaits you during the annual migration of wildebeest, gazelle and zebra between July and September.
Upon arrival at the camp, lunch will be served, followed by a game drive in search of African wildlife sightings. Return to the safari camp before the sun sets and enjoy dinner. An extraordinary experience awaits you!
Start your day with a hearty meal and prepare for a morning of game drives. Take in the stunning views of the hills, the Savannah grasses, and the acacia trees. Explore the local Masai culture by visiting a nearby village.
The Masai Mara is home to an abundant population of lions, nearly 500 in over 1,500 square kilometres. Look out for any potential sightings of the Big Five on your game drives.
Once you've finished up the afternoon, head back to camp for dinner and then spend your last night at the Masai Mara.
Start your morning off with a delicious breakfast at the Mara. Then, take a tour of the Karen Blixen Estate, a former coffee plantation and home to the author of the famous book, "Out of Africa."
You'll have a delightful lunch at the Karen Blixen Coffee Garden included in your tour. Spend the rest of the day shopping and by nightfall you'll be on your way back home with a flight from the airport.
