3-Day Private Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you will depart towards the Serengeti National Park. Depending on the time of the year, you might even have the chance to witness the great migration with a hundred thousand wildebeests, zebras and Thompson gazelles. During the small rainy season in October and November, you will typically see these herds moving from the Kenyan Masai Mara through the northwest of the Serengeti to the plains in the south. After the great rainy season in April, May and June, the herds slowly travel back through the western and north-western parts of the Serengeti. With fluctuations in rainfall, this timetable can of course change, your guide will try his utmost to find the animals and will make sure that you can see them from the best spot in the national park. Naturally, the migration also attracts predators and with luck, you might see a kill in action. Dinner & overnight at Tukaone camp.

During the morning game drive at Serengeti National Park, all three biggest cats are easily seen. Lions are everywhere and are often found on a kill, cheetahs are very common in the Southeastern plains, and leopard can often be found lazing in big trees along the Seronera River. Great heard of buffalo, small groups of elephants, giraffes and thousands upon thousands of elands, topis, kongonis, impalas and Grants gazelles are residents of Serengeti by any time of the year. Later after lunch, you will drive in the direction of the Ngorongoro Crater. As soon as you have reached the edge of the crater, you will have a remarkable view of this impressive natural wonder. Later drive to Marera Valley Lodge for Dinner & Overnight.

After smelling early morning coffee, all your senses will be involved and experience the thrill of a kill to the chill of a morning game drive. Estimated 7000 wildebeest, 4000 zebras, 3000 elands, 3000 gazelles, 600 hyenas, 200-300 elephants, over 60 lions, 30 rhinos and many others, in all over 25000 wild creatures call the Ngorongoro Crater home. For friends of winged ones, look no further, within this caldera, you will find 500 bird species, ostriches, kori bastards, secretary birds and more others. Visit from November to April and witness the myriad of migratory birds that take up residence here. Indigenous communities are permitted to live in the conservation area and local Maasai graze their livestock in the crater floor in harmony with nearby heard of buffalo and wildebeest. Lunch will be enjoyed en route. Later, drive back to Arusha.
