Start your day with an early morning game drive in Awash National Park, exploring areas around the falls and the Ilala Grassland. Here, you can expect to see olive baboons, Beisa oryx, waterbucks, bushbucks, and a rich variety of birdlife.

After the drive, head to the relaxing Doho Hot Springs and Doho Lodge, set near Doho Lake, a lake formed by natural hot springs. Spend your morning unwinding in the warm waters or visiting nearby Afar villages to experience the unique nomadic culture.

In the afternoon, continue your journey to Ali Dege National Park, about 70 km away. This park is known for its distinctive wildlife, including the graceful Gerenuk, Grevy’s zebra, and the rare Soemmerring’s gazelle. You may also spot impressive bird species like the Kori bustard and Arabian bustard. Keep an eye out for the Hamadryas baboon along the way—an iconic species once revered and depicted in ancient Egyptian pyramids.
