3-Day Rwanda Gorilla & Golden Monkey Trekking Safari

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by the team from Hermosa Life Tours and Travel.

Enjoy lunch in Kigali before setting off on a scenic drive to Musanze, the gateway to Volcanoes National Park and home of the mountain gorillas. Along the way, take in Rwanda’s beautiful rolling landscapes and countryside views.

Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and relax while enjoying its amenities. You may also opt for a community visit or explore the stunning twin lakes—Lake Burera and Lake Ruhondo—for a memorable cultural and scenic experience.

After an early breakfast, you will head to the headquarters of Volcanoes National Park at Kinigi to meet your guides for the day. Following a briefing and completion of park formalities, you will embark on a once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking experience.

Trek through the forest in search of a habituated gorilla family, and once found, spend an unforgettable hour observing these incredible primates—your closest relatives—in their natural habitat.

After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a cultural visit to Gorilla Guardians Village (formerly Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village), where you will experience traditional Rwandan culture, music, and local lifestyles.

Later, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will head to Volcanoes National Park headquarters to meet your guides for the golden monkey trekking experience. After a short briefing, you will venture into the forest to observe these lively primates in their natural habitat.

Once the trek is complete, you will begin your transfer back to Kigali. Along the way or upon arrival, enjoy a complimentary city tour, including visits to local markets, craft centers, and the Kigali Genocide Memorial at Gisozi.

Later, you will be transferred to Kigali International Airport for your outbound flight, marking the end of your journey.
