3-Day Rwanda Gorillas and Golden Monkeys Tour

You will be picked up from your hotel or the airport by our English- or French-speaking driver guide. Enjoy a city tour of Kigali, including a visit to the vibrant Kimironko Market and the moving Kigali Genocide Memorial.

After lunch, continue your journey to Volcanoes National Park. Upon arrival, settle in at your lodge, followed by dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, you’ll set out with a packed lunch to the park headquarters in Volcanoes National Park. Here, you’ll receive a briefing on gorilla trekking and the guidelines to follow when encountering mountain gorillas in their natural habitat.

You will then begin your unforgettable trek through the forest in search of these incredible primates. Once found, you’ll spend a magical hour observing them before returning to your lodge for a well-deserved lunch.

In the afternoon, your driver-guide will take you to explore the scenic Twin Lakes—Lake Burera and Lake Ruhondo—before heading back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, you’ll be picked up from your lodge and driven to the park headquarters in Volcanoes National Park for a briefing on how to interact with golden monkeys in the wild. You’ll then set out to track them in their natural habitat, enjoying close-up views and great photo opportunities.

After the experience, your driver-guide will transfer you back to Kigali. Along the way, you’ll stop for lunch at a local restaurant before being dropped off at your hotel, residence, or the airport for your departure.
