Your journey begins with a morning departure from Nairobi, traveling through the scenic central highlands and past the majestic slopes of Mount Kenya before descending into the rugged, semi-arid landscapes of Samburu National Reserve.

Upon arrival, you’ll check in, enjoy lunch, and later head out for your first exciting afternoon game drive. The open terrain offers excellent opportunities for spotting wildlife, including the famous “Samburu Special Five”—rare species unique to this region.

As the sun sets over the wilderness, return to camp for a delicious dinner and unwind under a breathtaking starlit African sky.

Day two is dedicated to immersing yourself in the wild beauty of Samburu National Reserve. Begin with an early morning game drive, when wildlife is most active and the soft golden light brings the landscape to life.

Along the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River, encounter a rich concentration of wildlife—from elephants and crocodiles to a variety of vibrant bird species. Keep watch for predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs that roam these plains.

After breakfast, relax at your lodge or opt for a cultural visit to a nearby Samburu people village for a glimpse into their traditions. Later, head out for another game drive as the day cools, when wildlife becomes active once more and the riverbanks come alive at sunset.
